Tata launches Aria

Tata Motors today launched the much expected Aria crossover in India. Debuted at 2010 Aut0 Expo, Aria is one of the most expected car in 2010. Aria is powered by 2.2L engine generating 140PS of peak power and 320Nm of peak torque. Aria comes with standard Adapterra (4WD) mode on all variants. Aria will come in three variants – Aria pride, aria prestige and aria pleasure. Aria comes with long list of features including satellite navigation and Electronic stability program. The price list of Aria models will be announced shortly.

Hero Honda Passion Pro Commonwealth Games limited edition

Hero Honda has launched special edition variant of its motorcycle passion pro to mark its association with the games.

“We are confident that the bike will be a craze amongst the sports-loving youth owing to its design, looks and irresistible features,” Hero Honda Motors senior vice president (marketing and sales) Anil Dua said. According to the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, the new bike is designed as a collector’s item to celebrate the company’s association with the Games. “The new bike has an all-white body with sporty looks, striking new dual-tone blue and green graphics inspired by the colours of the Games,” Dua said in a statement. Nissan to launch Micra Automatic and Micra diesel

Following the footstep of Maruti and Hyundai, Nissan would launch an automatic variant of its small car Micra. Nissa Micra is doing well averaging 1000 units a month. The need for automatic is growing, as more women drivers get behind the wheel. Automatics such as i10 automatic,i20 AT and City AT is doing well, if not exceptional. Micra Automatic would be a welcome addition considering the car is already a favorite among fair sex.

Nissan Micra Diesel

Nissan has already said it would launch a diesel variant of the Micra soon. Nissan will use Renault’s 1.5L diesel engine to power the Micra and the Sunny (Nissan sedan to be launched in 2011). The same engine is already used in logan. Micra diesel would give the Nissan the firepower to compete against Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20

Nissan Sunny heads India

Following the successful launch of Nissan Micra, Nissan is all set to launch Sunny. “Sunny” is the new sedan which Nissan is building on the V-platform. Ever since Nissan launched Micra, auto enthusiast started writing about new sedan. Nissan itself has announced it would build new cars on V-platform. Nissan Sunny will not be Micra with a boot but a regular sedan. Nissan Sunny will come with 1.5L petrol engine and 1.5L diesel engine. Nissan will source these engines from its alliance partner Renault. Sunny will take on the Maruti Dzire, Tata Indigo Manza,Hyundai Verna Trasform and soon-to-be-launched Toyota Etios. Going by the pricing of Micra, we can expect the Sunny to be aggressively priced. Nissan will launch the Sunny in 2011.

Fiat launches Linea T-jet and T-jet Plus

As you read it, Fiat launches two new variant of its flagship sedan – Linea T-jet and Linea T-jet plus. Fiat Linea T-jet and Linea T-jet plus are powered by 1.4L engine producing 114PS of maximum power and 207Nm of peak torque. Fiat Linea T-jet is capable of reaching 100kmph from standstill in just 11.14 second. Under standard driving conditions, linea t-jet returns a fuel efficiency figure of 14.6kmpl. Along with the new engine, Fiat has also added 13 new features for Linea T-jet. Linea T-jet will be available in 8 colours including the newly introduced sunbeam beige. Fiat Linea T-jet will available only in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune.
