Nissan to launch Micra Automatic and Micra diesel

Nissan Micra AT

Following the footstep of Maruti and Hyundai, Nissan would launch an automatic variant of its small car Micra. Nissa Micra is doing well averaging 1000 units a month. The need for automatic is growing, as more women drivers get behind the wheel. Automatics such as i10 automatic,i20 AT and City AT is doing well, if not exceptional. Micra Automatic would be a welcome addition considering the car is already a favorite among fair sex.

Nissan Micra Diesel

Nissan has already said it would launch a diesel variant of the Micra soon. Nissan will use Renault’s 1.5L diesel engine to power the Micra and the Sunny (Nissan sedan to be launched in 2011). The same engine is already used in logan. Micra diesel would give the Nissan the firepower to compete against Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20
