The stunning commercial vehicle maker Piaggio launched its new vehicle named as Ape CNG in Indian market. Ape is a three-wheeled light commercial vehicle first developed in 1948 by Piaggio which is useful for both rural and urban areas. The new vehicle has a strange and an unique design which appears with an incredible fuel efficient engine. The engine is powered by a single cylinder, naturally aspirated air cooled engine giving a displacement of 436 cc which delivers the maximum power of 5.52 KW @ 3600 RPM and maximum torque of 18 NM @ 2200-2400 RPM. The engine is mated with a proficient five speed transmission with multi disc wet type clutch and the constant mesh GB ensures smooth gear shifts and ride. The steering type of the vehicle is of handle bar type giving more grip and easy to handle the vehicle. The vehicle has drum brakes at both front and rear. The Ape CNG comes in various colour options including Crimson Orange, Brilliant Green, Charming Blue, Sahara Yellow, Golden Yellow, Western Red and Bianco White. The main purpose of using the vehicle is that it can travel in the narrow streets and small space areas in an easy manner. The Ape is considered to be a marketing tool for businesses and it is an ideal vehicle for the transportation in busy towns.
