KUV100 NXT is the upgraded and facelifted version of Mahindra’s baby SUV KUV100. The term KUV stands for Kool Utility Vehicle. The compact mini SUV was launched in the month of October 2017. It is available in 18 trims with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol powered variants get a 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 motor delivering 82bhp @ 5500rpm of peak power and 115Nm @ 3500rpm of maximum torque. The diesel unit is a 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 motor which produces peak power and torque figures of 77 bhp @ 3750rpm and 190 Nm @ 1750rpm respectively. Both the engines get mated to a 5-speed Manual gearbox. It is expected that Mahindra will launch the Automated Manual Transmissions for both the engines sometime later. KUV100 NXT appears more muscular than its predecessor model KUV100. Though offered in both five and six seating options, the five-seater version will be available only on a made-to-order basis. The standard safety features of the car include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags and corner braking control. KUV100 NXT competes directly with Maruti Ignis, Honda WR-V, Toyota Etios Cross and Hyundai i20 Active.
