This car can be called as the Scorpion King of Indian terrains. This vehicle looks both rugged as well as stylish. The exterior gives an impression which could be converted verbally as, 'Look! I'm suitable for any conditions and usage'. For the first time, Mahindra has revamped the older model to a greater extent and introduce it as all new Scorpio with 5 trim levels - S3,S5,S7,S9 and S11 in 7,8 and 9 seating options. Changes are mainly done on the mechanical side that includes new chassis and gearbox. The aesthetics also have undergone changes as well.There is the availability of two diesel engine options. One is the 2.5 litre 4-cylinder CRDe diesel engine that tends to power up the S3 variant while the other one is the 2.2 litre 4-cylinder turbocharged mHawk diesel engine that is used to run the lives of the remaining variants. Both the power train get mated to all new 5-speed manual gearbox called 5MT320 that sports out shift-on-fly 4WD system thus helping the driver to switch between all wheel drive modes while driving. The cosmetic upgrades include aggressive front end, squat looking headlamps, day-time running lights and projector lamps, newly designed bumpers, revised grille at the front end. The rear end includes the following features like LED tail-lamps, roof mounted spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, fog-lamps, skid plates. At the interior portion, start from the dual-tone dashboard extending upto instrument cluster, steering wheel with mounted controls and air-conditioning system, every feature is entirely new to the Scorpio. Mahindra Scorpio cars fall between the price range of Rs.10.09 and Rs.16.46 lakhs (ex-showroom,delhi).
