French Auto Giant Renault has introduced the all-new Captur, a five-seater SUV in India. Captur underpins the same platform of Renault's successful Duster SUV but is longer, narrower and shorter than its sibling. The niche comes loaded with an expressive styling, driving position of SUV, the cabin space and modular interior like that of an MPV, agility, comfortness, full LED headlamps with dynamic LED turn indicators and massive C-shaped LED DRLs integrated into the bumper. Regarding mechanical specifications, a 1.5 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel guise producing 105bhp and 109bhp of peak power respectively power the new model. The maximum torque outputs generated by the engines are 142Nm and 240Nm for the Petrol and Diesel motors respectively. Renault technologies have been implemented into the engines offering best-in-class fuel efficiency of 13.87kmpl for the Petrol Manual variants and 20.37kmpl for the Diesel Manual variants along with the CO2 emissions starting from as low as 96g/km. Now-a-days such a compact SUV are the most wanted cars in the Indian market. Renault Captur toughly competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Nissan Terrano.
