It is the vision of Soichiro Honda that led to the success of the 'Honda'. Honda has been into the production of Bikes, Cars, Accessories and Power Products. Honda Motor Co Ltd., collaborated with Siddharth Shriram Group company, in December 1995, and became Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., Honda was into an effort to flaunt its technological expertise in India in 'Car' making.

The entry of Honda into the Indian market revolutionized the Indian auto industry and HSCI has become the leading premium car manufacturer in India. The company has a capacity of manufacturing 100,000 cars per annum from its Noida plant which was set up in 1997 with Rs. 450 crore. It had an initial capacity of 30,000 cars per annum, which was increased to 50,000 cars on a two-shift basis. The capacity has further been enhanced to 1,00,000 units annually since February 2008.
