Ducati strengthens India footprint with the Monster 797 & Multistrada 950 launch

First unveiled at the 2017 Ducati World Premiere, Ducati India launched the Monster 797 and the Multistrada 950, today in New Delhi. Expanding their product portfolio, these motorcycles are the first of the five all-new motorcycles that will be launched in India this year.

Ducati India’s Managing Director Ravi Avalur said, “Both these motorcycles are gateways to the Ducati world and its values. This is a major step towards the growth of Ducati’s product range in India. With the launch of these motorcycles, Ducati India will be well positioned to compete across price points. Monster 797

The Monster 797 is now available across all Ducati dealers in Ducati Red, Star White Silk and Dark Stealth colours at an introductory price of INR 7,77,000 (Ex-showroom, New Delhi)

The Monster 797 has been designed to express that unique Monster essence while offering cutting-edge modernity. The air-cooled 803 cc Desmodue L-twin engine housed in the tubular Ducati Trellis frame is capable of delivering 75 Bhp at 8,250 rpm and maximum torque of 69 Nm at 5,750 rpm. Designed to be simple and reliable, the Monster 797 engine also features competitive 12,000 km maintenance intervals.

The Monster 797 mounts a headlight with LED positioning lights and an easy-to-see LCD screen. Multistrada 950

The Ducati Design Center worked on the Multistrada 950 with one goal: combining Multistrada 1200 and Multistrada 1200 Enduro’s design features like comfort, style and superior performance with an incredible riding ease, to produce a bike with classic Multistrada lines that is also more compact.

Powering the Multistrada 950 is the 937cc Testastretta 11° engine that churns a maximum of 113 Bhp at 9,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 96.2 Nm at 7,750 rpm. The instrument panel consists of a large LCD panel that displays the four riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro, each of which gives the Multistrada 950 a distinctive personality.

The DSP (Ducati Safety Pack) which includes a Brembo braking system, with ABS, controlled by the Bosch 9.1 MP control unit, together with the DTC (Ducati Traction Control) enhances the Multistrada 950’s performance, optimising control and safety levels.

The 19’’ front wheel, 48 mm forks with 170 mm wheel travel, adjustable rear suspension and a double sided swing arm provide a high level of riding comfort while ensuring great agility. डिजायर पेट्रोल का आरई माइलेज हैं 22 किलोमीटर प्रति लीटर और बलेनो का माइलेज हैं 21.4 किलोमीटर प्रति लिटेर. डिजायर डीजल का आरई माइलेज हैं 28.4 किलोमीटर प्रति लिटेर, और बलेनो का माइलेज हैं 27.4 किलोमीटर प्रति लिटेर. रोज के उपयोग में आपको दोनो गाड़ियों से लगबग उतनाही माइलेज मिलेगा.

परफॉर्मन्स:

दोनो गाड़ियों में सुज़ुकी के 1200 सीसी K12 पेट्रोल इंजन, और FIAT के मशहूर 1250 सीसी मल्टिजेट डीजल इंजन का इस्तेमाल किया गया हैं. दोनो गाड़ियों के वजन में भी सिर्फ़ 5-10 किलो का अंतर हैं. इसके कारण दोनो गाड़ियों का पिक-उप, टॉप स्पीड और स्मूथनेस भी, बिलकुल एक जैसा हैं.

लेकिन दोनो गाड़ियों के ऑटोमॅटिक मॉडेल्स में बहुत बड़ा फराक हैं. बलेनो का CVT गियरबॉक्स डिजायर के AMT गियरबॉक्स से बहुत ज़्यादा स्मूथ हैं, ख़ास कर हुमारे ट्रॅफिक से भरे, शहरी रास्तों पे. लेकिन बलेनो CVT हाइवे पे चलाने के लिए बिल्कुल भी उपयुक्त नही हैं. उसमे रब्बर-बॅंड इफ़ेक्ट की समस्या हैं. रब्बरबॅंड एफेक्ट का मतलब हैं, CVT वाली गाड़ियों में एक्सेलरेटर पूरा दबाने पे भी, सिर्फ़ इंजन तेज़ी से घूमने लगता हैं, लेकिन गाड़ी की रफ़्तार बढ़ने में बहुत समय निकल जाता हैं. इसके कारण ओवरटेक करते समय पर्याप्त पिक-अप नहीं मिलता. लेकिन डिजायर के AMT गियरबॉक्स में, आपको पिक-अप में और माइलेज में कोई समझोता नहीं करना पड़ता.

भीतरी जगह और कंफर्ट:

पुरानी डिजायर के मुक़ाबले मारुति ने नये डिजायर की अंदरूनी जगह में काफ़ी सुधारणा की हैं. लेकिन फिर भी डिजायर में बलेनो जितनी जगह नहीं हैं. डिजायर बलेनो से थोड़ी कम चौड़ी होने के कारण और उसका व्हीलबेस बलेनो से 70 मिलीमीटर छोटा होने के कारण बलेनो में डिजायर से थोडिसी ज़्यादा जगह उपलब्ध हैं. बलेनो का तीनसौ उन्तलीस लीटर का बूट, उसकी सेगमेंट में सबसे विशाल बूट हैं, लेकिन डिजायर का तीनसौ छिहत्तर लीटर का बूट उससे भी लगबग 40 लीटर बड़ा हैं. डिजायर के इंटीरियर्स भी बलेनो से ज़्यादा आकर्षक लगते हैं.

बलेनो का व्हीलबेस लंबा होने के कारण वो डिजायर से ज़्यादा संतुलन से चलती हैं, और गड्ढों को बेहतर सोख लेती हैं. दोनो ही गाड़ियाँ मोडों पे अछी पकड़ बनाए रखती हैं और अछा नियंत्रण दर्शाती हैं. लेकिन डिजायर का एकसौ तिरसठ MM ग्राउंड क्लियरेन्स बलेनो के 170 MM ग्राउंड क्लियरेन्स से थोडासा कम होने के कारण, वो अपने देश के खुरदरे रास्तों के लिए, बलेनो जितनी मुनासिब नहीं हैं.

क्वालिटी और सर्विस:

अर्टिगा 7-सीटर गाड़ी हैं और डिजायर 5-सीटर, यह तो आप जानते ही हैं. लेकिन अर्टिगा में समस्या ऐसी हैं, की अगर आप सात लोगों को गाड़ी में बिठाते हैं, तो उसमे सिर्फ़ एक्सौ पैंतीस लीटर बूटस्पेस बच जाती हैं. जिसमे आप मुश्किल से दो बॅग्स रख पाएँगे. अगर आप पिछला सीट फोल्ड कर देते हैं तो बूट-स्पेस चरसौ अस्सी लीटर हो जाती हैं, लेकिन फिर अर्टिगा का मज़ला सीट, उसके सबसे कम लेग-रूम वाले स्थिति में लॉक हो जाता हैं. अगर पांच लोग और समान ही लेकर यात्रा करनी हो, तो उसके लिए डिजायर ज़्यादा उचित पर्याय हैं. उसमें यात्रियों के लिए ज़्यादा नी-रूम और लेग-रूम हैं और वो अर्टिगा से चौड़ी होने के कारण उसकी पिछली सीट पे तीन यात्री, ज़्यादा आराम से बैठ पाते हैं. इतना ही नहीं, अर्टिगा की तीसरी पंक्ति लेग-रूम के अभाव की वजह से, सिर्फ़ छोटे बच्‍चों के लिए ही पर्याप्त हैं.

अर्टिगा का व्हीलबासे डिजायर से लगबग तीन सौ MM लंबा हैं. उसका सस्पेन्षन भी डिजायर से ज़्यादा नरम हैं. इसके कारण अर्टिगा गड्ढों को डिजायर से काफ़ी बेहतर सोख लेती हैं. अर्टिगा का एक सौ पिचासि MM का ग्राउंड क्लियरनस भी डिजायर से बाईस MM उँचा हैं, जिसके कारण वो हुमारे देश की उबड़खाबाड़ रास्तों के लिए डिजायर से ज़्यादा उचित हैं. लेकिन डिजायर अर्टिगा की तुलना में ज़्यादा चपलता से दिशा बदल करती हैं, इसलिए घुमावदार सड़कों पे डिजायर चलाने में ज़्यादा मज़ेदार लगती हैं.

क्वालिटी और मेंटेनन्स:

पिछले तीस साल की मेहनत के बदौलत, मारुति आज देश का सबसे भरोसेमंद कार उत्पादक बन गया हैं. उसके 3000 से अधिक सर्विस सेंटर देश के कोने कोने तक ग्राहकों को सर्विस की उपलब्धता का आश्वासन देते हैं. आज की तारीख में सेकण्ड हॅंड अर्टिगा, समकालीन डिजायर से तकरीबन एक लाख रुपय महंगी पड़ती हैं. लेकिन साल भर में अभी की अर्टिगा बंद हो जाएगी और नयी अर्टिगा मार्केट में आ जाएगी. जिसके कारण पाँच-सात साल बाद आज खरीदी हुई अर्टिगा और डिजायर की कीमत में 30-40 हज़ार से ज़्यादा फ़र्क नहीं रहेगा.

अंतिम निर्णय:

BMW Plant Chennai starts production of the all-new BMW 5 Series

The BMW Plant Chennai has started the production for the all-new BMW 5 Series that will be launched later this month in India.

Honda pre-owned Outlet launched in Coimbatore

Honda today inaugurated its landmark 150th ‘Best Deal’ outlet -its exclusive pre-owned two wheeler business at Aadhi Honda, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Honda 2Wheelers has pioneered the concept of Certified Pre-owned Outlets – ‘Best Deal’ – two-wheeler industry’s first organized retail set-up exclusively for pre-owned two wheelers. These outlets have enabled the company to create more touch-points of interacting with customers and also tap into the huge potential that the pre-owned two-wheeler market offers.

Bharat Benz Sells 50000 trucks in India

Nissan India today launched the New Micra with a host of intelligent features and sporty enhancements. The New ‘Intelligent & Sporty’ Micra is available at a starting price of INR. 5.98 lakhs, ex-showroom Chennai.
