Maruti Suzuki to launch Ritz in April 2009

Catch the hot pictures and test drive report of  Ritz review

Maruti has disproved two things – the splash which was expected to hit the Indian roads in 2008, it will actually hit in 2009. While we know the car as ‘splash’, the Indian splash would be called as Ritz. Ritz would follow the recently launched A-star and fit into Maruti ever growing small car portfolio. Ritz will be powered by Suzuki’s new KB series engine. Though Ritz is built on Maruti’s successful splash platform and sports shorter wheelbase than the swift (30mm), the car will be roomy. Higher roofline and wider tracks at the fore and aft will ensure Ritz spaciousness. Ritz (splash) replaced the Wagon-R in european countries but as Maruti did it in the past, Ritz will co-exist with Wagon-R in India. Ritz is expected to hit showroom in april 2009 and is expected to be priced around Rs4 lakh. For pictures and to know more about Ritz (Splash) visit

  1. hi , A little more info available .. This model is available in both petrol and diesel engine versions. the diesel engine is the same one as in the Swift – thats one amazing engine Pics of this model indicate that the interiors and exteriors are really good. Wonder what features will be offered in India. This model is a roaring success in Europe and Japan and must be a success too in India

  2. All, Any news about replacement for Gypsy? I was reading that Maruthi may release Jymny by 2009 End. Any idea? regards, Ravi

  3. This model is looking very attractive.what is difference between Ritz and swift.Ritz must buy car in this segment. Should buy top model zxi if petrol. Its very stylish and sporty. I really felt that getting a Car like Ritz in 4-5 Lac is not a bad deal at all as i have heard that this car is coming up with a real good K-12 engine..The K12M is essentially a 1197cc petrol engine that is capable of putting out 85 PS of power at 6000rpm in its current state of tune.thanks for the great info.
