Tata Safari Storme Review
Tata has launched its much awaited sports utility vehicle known as Tata Safari Storme in four variants namely Tata Safari Storme LX, Tata Safari Storme EX, Tata Safari Storme VX and Tata Safari Storme VX 4WD respectively. The safari would give a tough competition to its other similar cars. Tata has designed the car with lot of excellent specification and features.

The Safari Storme comes with an attractive prices in which the ex-showroom price of Tata Safari Storme LX at Rs.9.95 lakh, Tata Safari Storme EX at 10.77 lakh, Tata Safari Storme VX at 12.37 lakh and VX 4WD at 13.66 lakh.
Engine
The Tata Safari Storme is designed with the inline engine which uses the VariCOR technology instead of DICOR which delivers the maximum power of about 138 BHP @ 4000 RPM and maximum torque of about 320 NM between 1700 – 2700 RPM. The peppy engine comes with 16-valve, aluminium cyclinder heads which is a classic design and the Variable Turbine Technology enables a greater and better performance. It has a 5 speed manual gearbox along with refined engine and a lighter chassis results to an extraordinary performance. The Safari is developed on the basis of Aria platform which offers a good acceleration for the SUV. All these features gives a decent name to the car.
Mileage and Fuel Economy
The new Tata Safari Storme can accelerate from 0 – 100 kmph in just about 15 seconds whereas the car can achieves the top speed of about 165 kmph. The four wheel drive variant of the car delivers the mileage of 13.2 kmpl on highways and 9.3 kmpl in the city roads while the two wheel drive of safari storme gives 10.8 kmpl on city roads and 14 kmpl on highways respectively.

Design and Comfort
Interiors
The Safari Storme boasts a refined interiors along with high quality interiors and fitments. It has a comfortable seating and enhanced spacing in which the tall people also can take their seat in a comfortable manner. The mid-level variant seat comes with fabric upholstery whereas the top end model gets leather. It comprises a decent dashboard with new dials on the instrument panel which offers much cleaner and smoother appearance. Actually there are nearly 10 air vents at the front and for the rear passengers which enables to maintain the climatic conditions of the cabin. It comes with the air conditioning with manual electric control along with a separate blower for the passengers in the rear. It has a power steering wheel which adds comfort of driving. The top end variants of the car gets full power windows and for safety, airbags are also available.
Exteriors
The exterior appearance of the car is really masculine and gorgeous with maximum changes to the rear end of the car. It has a good ground clearance and changes have been made in the spare wheel from the tail gate and it is moved under the rear side of the vehicle. It features a new and stylish honeycomb grille which offers the neat look for the front fascia. It looks more aggressive with a sharper headlights which gets xenon lamps and lens projector enhancing the visibility for the driver during the night driving. The side of the car boasts a muscular wheel arches with 16 inch alloy wheels and side blinkers integrated on the ORVMs. Along with a new tailgate, it has a windscreen wiper and washer. The exterior measurements includes 1922mm height, 4655mm length, 1965mm width and 2650mm wheelbase respectively. The tire size is measured as 235/70 R16 which offers smooth ride.
Braking, Handling and Safety features
The important feature of a vehicle is braking and handling but for Safari Storme, it is not a problem. It comes with an efficient braking system fitted with vacuum assisted independent hydraulic brakes. This ventilated braked with EBD offers the good braking controls on the road and uneven rough terrain. The front suspension of the car is of independent double wishbone type with coil springs while the rear suspension is of 5-link with coil springs. Both braking and suspension offers a pleasureable driving experience. In addition to the above features, it also has AntiLock Braking System which helps to keep the SUV under the control of the driver. The 16 inch wheels ensures the comfortable handling and maintains the traction with the road.

I am using Tata Safari Storme regularly and I hate the vehicle to the core especially for its poor service and poor spares. I have purchased just four months back and problems arises at an early stage. But I gave it for service and it is really worst and the spares are expensive and not easily available which is very irritating. Poor service so better to go for others except Tata brand.
I personally felt that the look, style, fit and finish of the Tata Safari Storme is really superb. I am totally impressed with the huge appearance which resembles like a white elephant. Its just higher than Fortuner and longer than Pajero. The power windows, folding mirrors, bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry, powerful engine are some of the best features which is quite good. This vehicle has completely changed my life. Thanks to Tata Motors for their great job.
My vehicle is also Tata Safari Storme and it is not working good from the beginning itself. All doors are producing heavy noise and I have repaired it for many times from the service center but the problem still exists and I could not get the correct solution for this issue. Tata company is cheating the customer. I have never experienced such a worst service from the dealer. Great disappointment.
Friend, I want to say that Tata Safari Storme is the only perfect and best SUV in just 14 lac. Even at the time of test drive itself, I could feel the comfortness and driving pleasure and so I chose the car immediately. Actually before that I have a Hyundai Fluidic Verna and exchanged my vehicle after that. Whatever the brand name, if any one is planning to buy SUV they should consider the riding pleasant, road presence and style.
