Tata Nano Review

The Nano is considered to be the cheapest car in the world manufactured by Tata Motors. The Tata Nano comes with excellent specifications and impressive features. The launch of Nano is the realization of a dream of creating a cheap car. The car is believed to satisfy the conditions of Indian families. The Tata Nano Car is a low budget small car targeting the small car buyers or first time buyers. The cost of Tata Nano doesn’t affect the overall appearance and features.

Engine

The engine of the nano is very small but it has the assurance of the performance. The Nano is incorporated with 624cc Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) petrol engine offering the peak power 38 Ps and 51Nm torque. It gives the top speed of about 105 kmph and the fuel efficiency of the car is nearly 25.4 kmpl.

Colours

The Nano comes with various attractive colours includes Aqua Blue, Champagne Gold, Pearl White, Mojito Green, Rouge Red, Meteor Silver, Sunshine Yellow, Serene White, Neon Rush, Papaya Orange etc.

Nano Models

The Nano has five variants namely 1) Tata Nano Base 2) Tata Nano CX Special Edition 3) Tata Nano CX 4) Tata Nano LX Special Edition 5) Tata Nano LX

Tata Nano Base

This is the base model of the Nano car which has 3099mm length, 1495mm weight and 1652mm height respectively. It comes with two cylinder MPFI engine with 4 speed manual transmission gearbox.

Tata Nano CX

It is the mid variant of Nano which is fitted with BSIV emission standards. The car holds a new branded air conditioner along with foldable rear seats with nap rest, half wheel cover, booster assisted brakes and parcel shelf.

Tata Nano LX

The features of Nano LX includes central locking, front power windows, cup holder for front passengers, body coloured bumpers, fog lamps electronic trip meter, rear spoiler and full wheel covers. The top-end variant Nano LX is well fitted with front fog lamps. The roof beading and roof spoiler in the LX variant offers a gorgeous look.

Design and Comfort

Exteriors

Tata has designed the Nano with attractive exteriors in which the front is marked by the small and sweeping down bonnet. Even the bonnet is small, it gives an elegant appearance and it is fitted with a diamond shaped clear lens headlights with Tata logo in centre. Along with that, the tinted windshield is incorporated with two speed wipers and intermittent washer. Just below the bonnet, bumpers are painted with the same body colour of the car. There is a body color Outside Rear View Mirror on the driver side as well as tip-tap body color ORVM on the passenger side and the door handles are of same colour. The door system design is very innovative. The Nano is incorporated with the new wheel covers, six petal shaped spokes on the wheel cover wrapping the radial tubeless tire. The tail lamps are extended and run in length with the boot lid. Overall, the exterior appearance of the nano is really excellent even though the cost is low.

Interiors

Being small, Nano is very spacious than to its competitive cars and the features are good. The interior of the car comes with an attractive blend of colours. The LX model comes with a premium beige fabric while the CX has a trendy black upholstery and dual tone vinyl upholstery seats for the base variant standard. The dashboard is designed with neat and clean placements of objects in medium graphite, Ebony Black and Barley beige colors for the Nano Standard, Nano CX and Nano LX respectively. Actually, the roof lining comes with jute basis in Standard model whereas Polyester in another two variants. Then the base and mid model comes with 2 spoke steering wheel while the top variant has 3 spoke steering wheel. The instrument cluster is fitted on the centre console offering bright illumination for better view during driving. Along with speedometer, it has an electronic trip meter, digital fuel guage, low fuel warning lamp and AC, heater just below them. The Nano has comfortable seats in which four members can take their seat and lot of options are there for storage purpose. The rear seats of the car are foldable which helps in increasing the boot space for keeping the luggage. The cabin lamp improves the visibility for reading and the anti-glare rear view mirror helps better viewing for driver.

Mileage and Fuel Economy

The Nano comes with a fuel economy of 25 kmpl which is considered to be the most fuel-efficient petrol cars. It is the best in hatchback cars with extremely low CO2 emissions increases the greener environments in the country. The car gives the top speed of about 105 kmph in 29.7 seconds which is an improvement from the previous. The acceleration of the Nano is good for city driving.

Safety and Special Features

The safety and handling features of the Nano are extremely good. The precise steering wheel of the Nano offers good handling. The drivability and handling is improved with revised suspensions. The front anti-roll bar and the improved steering mechanism gives a pleasurable driving mechanism. The safety features includes central locking, center high mount stop lamp, laminated windshield, door lock on driver and passenger side, booster assisted brakes, front and rear seat belts, addition body reinforcements, intrusion beam and radial tubeless tyres.

Low budget vehicle

Guys, I have a Tata Nano car and it is a low budget car but good at fuel efficiency. It is easy to drive and it is a funniest vehicle on the road. The cost is also an affordable one with lot of exciting and thrilling features. Even a middle class people can be able to purchase the car easily because of its low cost which is really a good thing. Thanks to Tata Motors and still expect more from them..

Gift from Tata

I have a Tata Nano Lx car which is quite amazing. I like the car for its cool external graphic lines. Hats off to Tata Engineers who offered a wonderful car. Its cabin is very spacious even five people can take their seat in a comfortable manner. I felt the turning radius is good at Tata Nano. It is very excellent even in heavy city traffic areas and its HVAC is very effective along with the good pickup. But the engine provides an irritating noise which is one of the drawback. Otherwise it is best suited for going to office.

Dont buy Nano

I thought Tata Nano would be apt for both city and highway roads. So that, I purchased the car which looks like a mini car with good interior space. The performance of the car is really appreciable but sometimes I heard some unwanted noise which is bad. Service network is not so satisfactory. My car has battery problem and gave it to the dealer. Eventhough I got the car after rectifying the problem, it happened again and again. The Tata staffs are not giving any proper response to the customers and it should be changed. Because of this problem, I have wasted both money and time which would not return.

Small Cute Car

It is really wonder to have all good features in such a small package. Tata Nano is very cute little vehicle but packed with excellent features. It has an aluminium engine which can overtake even Maruti 800 and it has radial tyres for better performance. As well as, it has multipoint fuel injectors, ECU and many more. It offers 4 years of 60000 km warranty which is really superb.
