Tata Magic

Tata Magic is a powerful MPV powered by diesel or CNG engines with attractive mileage offering. It can comfortably carry passengers than in a traditional auto-rickshaw. It looks more like a car from front. Safety features in it includes seat belts which is not available in rickshaws.

It is available in four different hues. They are given below:

4) Jet Black.

Dimensions

The mini truck has a pretty generous load area which has a 2212 mm length and 1220mm width. It measures 3790mm in length, 1500mm in width and 2100mm in height and a wheelbase of 1845mm. It has a ground clearance of 4mm and turning circle radius of 1000mm.

Design and Style

The vehicles body is steel metal with replete doors and hard top making this one safe on drive. Another benefit is protection from heat, dust and rain. Engine offers better power and aid in long traveling with good speed. It will be a great help for the common people who travel in rural areas with much environmental exposure. Base of this vehicle is Tata’s commercial vehicles like ace. With good mileage, more features, and safety one can hope for a good change in this segment and better selling for Tata magic variants.

Engine Specification

Tata Magic Powered by a 702cc Diesel engine which churns out 16 Bhp @ 3200 rpm power and torque of 38 Nm @ 2000 rpm on ride to the wheels. Another 702cc MPGi CNG Engine which produces 21 Bhp @ 3400 rpm power and 49 Nm @ 2200 rpm torque. You will get 64kmph top speed. Engine mated with 4 Manual gearbox. Diesel variants give mileage of 20kmpl and CNG versions will give 30-35kmpl mileage as per company announcement.

Braking and Handling

The Tata Magic comes with good braking and suspension. They have fitted Front Disk and Rear Drum brake. About the suspension it features Parabolic Leaf Spring Suspension with hydraulic double acting shock absorber at the front and rear. It features Mechanical, variable ratio (20.5 to 24.5 ), 380 mm diameter steering wheel, 145 R12 LT 8 PR Radial tyres, 19% Gradeability, 16% Grade restart ability, Bucket seats – driver and co-passenger and Bench seats – passenger etc.

Verdict

It has good specifications and features. It is very useful for Urban and Rural area people. Thus, with good mileage, more features, and safety one can hope for a good change in this segment and better selling for Tata magic variants.
