Tata Indica eV2 Review
Tata Indica eV2 is one of the most fuel efficient car with luxurious dual tone interiors, new transmission and new exteriors which helps the car look a little upmarket compared to its previous versions. The Indica eV2 has always been a value proposition since it comes with advancement in engines. If we wish to buy an efficient diesel car which should be on our budget, then eV2 would be the best. The indica eV2 price is also very reasonable with awesome features.
Engine
The Indica eV2 comes with a 1.4 litre, 4 cylinder 16 valve inline diesel engine which produces a displacement of 1396 cc. It is available with five speed manual gearbox along with the new Microprocessor based Engine Management System (ECU) technology that results in higher engine performance. The maximum power delivered by the eV2 is nearly 69 BHP @ 40000 RPM and the torque is about 140 NM @ 1800 RPM. The engine is really good and it is a fuel efficient car.

The colour options available for the Tata Indica eV2 are Mint White, Spice Red, Neo Orange, Jet Silver, Sea Blue etc.
Mileage and Fuel Economy
The Indica eV2 is well known for its excellent fuel economy and good acceleration. The car offers a mileage of about 25kmpl. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 37 litres. The engine of indica eV2 gives the maximum mileage of about 19 kmpl on highways and 14.5 kmpl in city roads. The new transmission along with smart shift gear technology is mated to a refined and powerful diesel engine which helps in effortless and smooth gear shifts.
Design and Comfort
Interiors
The five seating Indica eV2 is considered to be one of the most spacious hatchback in its segment with its attractive and comfortable interiors. The car is fitted with many new functionalities such as four spoke steering wheels which enhances the style of the car. The features includes utility tray with coin holder, spot lamps, all four door operated cabin lamp, new internally adjustable outer rear view mirror, molded roof lining and door trims, internal antenna, fabric lined seats, parcel shelf, new horn pad for steering wheel, lamp in luggage compartment etc. In addition, it includes air conditioning system, tinted windshield, door and tailgate glass, new electronic instrument cluster with digital odometer and two trip meters with light intensity control, tachometer, low fuel and high engine temperature warning lamps, digital clock, cup holder in glove compartment etc. Apart from the other features, it also has variable intermittent type wiper, remote release of fuel lid latch and tailgate latch, standard floor console with provision for mobile charger, cigarette lighter etc. The boot capacity of the car is measured as 220 liters.
Exteriors
The exteriors of Indica eV2 are really impressive with 3690mm length, 1665mm width and 1485mm height respectively. It has a strong bonnet with body coloured bumpers, gorgeous front grille and large headlamps which gives a muscular front look. It comes with a new clear lens headlamps, new clear taillamps, clear lens side repeater lamps, wheel arch flaires with sill valence covers, chrome plated strip on hood, half wheel covers, door rub rails and ORVMs. The wheelbase of the car is measured as 2400mm and ground clearance is about 165mm. And the kerb weight of the car is approximately 1080 kg.
Braking, Handling and Safety features
The Tata Indica eV2 comes with good and excellent braking, handling and safety features. The front brake of the car is of disc type and rear brake is of drum type with power assisted rack and pinion-hydraulic steering type which provides a minimum turning radius of about 4.9m respectively. The front and rear tire is measured as 155/80 R13 which offers great off-roading capability. The front suspension of the eV2 is independent, wish bone type with McPherson strut and antiroll bar while the rear suspension is semi trailing arm with coil spring mounted on hydraulic shock absorbers. The safety features includes airbags, child safety locks, anti-submarine seats, collapsible steering column, side intrusion beam on all four doors, provision for rear fog lamps, head lamp leveler etc. These safety features ensures better safety for both driver and passengers.

Hi friends, I am proud to be one of the owner of Tata Indica eV2. At first i am very confused before buying the car and i had lot of questions in mind. But later I feel very happy with the vehicle. I bought a top end variant in silver color with excellent body graphics and chrome finishing externally. In addition it has lot of good features which adds more look and style to the car. As per my view, Tata Indica eV2 is one of the best choice of selection.
I really liked Tata Indica eV2 car but the company should keep alloy wheels as an optional one because alloy wheels are not so strong as steel ones. I think alloy wheel is not so safe in all kind of road condition. Apart from that, it has been fitted with lot of exciting and thrilling features.
Tata Indica eV2 is one of the strong body built car which is well known for its mileage. The looks are not so impressive and it offers a mileage of around 30 kmpl but the company insisted around 25 kmpl which is quite good. My kind request is to go for Tata Indica eV2 and I am very much satisfied with the vehicle.
Without considering other comments, I bought a Tata Indica eV2 after a long fight. At first i like the car very much but later it does not offer an assured mileage of about 25 kmpl, i got only 14-15 kmpl in city road without AC. I am totally not satisfied with the mileage and service too and it is very bad. Without rectifying the problems of the car, they irritates the customers in all aspects. So people please be careful in making choice of the car while buying a new car.
