Ssangyong LIV-1 Review

The Ssangyong LIV-1 is one of the upcoming car recently unveiled at the Auto Expo Event 2014 which is expected with a price of around Rs.22,00,000. The LIV-1 stands for "Limitless Interface Vehicle" and it is a sturdy large premium SUV model developed on the basis of Robust Aesthetics. The new SUV would fulfil the gap between the Rodius and Rexton in the future. The name of the vehicle indicates the meaning of Limitless Potentials and Limitless Joy which expresses the unlimited high performance and the value of large premium SUV.

The dimensions of the Ssangyong LIV-1 in terms of its length, width and height are represented below.

The Ssangyong LIV-1 is powered by a 4 cylinder, 4 valve petrol engine offering better performance in terms of its length, width and height mated to a dual clutch type and manual transmission. The car comes in both two wheel drive and four wheel drive mated with either six speed manual transmission or a seven speed automatic transmission. The LIV-1 is fitted with a standard power steering for simple handling of the vehicle.

The vehicle has an attractive interiors and exteriors which would definitely impress the car enthusiasts. The front fascia of the car is decorated with an aggressive headlight and fog lamps offering bright visibility to the driver at night time.

The LIV-1 will be adopted with 3S-cube philosophy for driver-vehicle communication interface. The 3S comprises three elements such as Smart Link, Safe Way and Special Sense for the car to be remote controlled using a smart device in order to offer entertainment on the inside and outside of the vehicle. The Smart Link is considered to be a roof and glass system created from nano-technology for removing frost quickly where as Safe Way helps in avoiding from collisions in blind spots and at intersections.

The user vehicle interaction takes place with the five touch screen displays which involves the 10 inch monitor in the center console along with 7 inch monitor in the headrest. The LIV-1 exteriors are really masculine and robust with a wide grille fitted at the front integrated into the headlamps and intake holes with silver accents. The side profile comes with an automated sidestep for better safety and convenience of the passengers.

The Ssangyong LIV-1 gets a ventilated disc brake at both front and rear which is quite good to halt the vehicle even travelling at high level of speed. The suspension is also really impressive with an independent double wishbone with anti-roll bar at the front axle and five link independent with antiroll bar at the rear axle. The vehicle will feature a 16 inch alloy wheels with a tire size of 235/75 R16 and 5.8 minimum turning radius. All these features combined together ensures much safety and security.
