The leading manufacturer Mahindra reached the desirable heights with their excellent products. Recently, it has introduced its new scooter known as Mahindra Duro in Indian market with an attractive prices. The Duro is available in only one variant named as Mahindra Duro Dz and the price of Mahindra Duro is found to be approximately Rs.45,288. The main advantages of choosing the scooter include reasonable price, better performance and lot of storage space.

Mahindra Duro Dimensions

The Mahindra Duro has an excellent external dimensions in terms of its length, width and height. They are displayed below.

The Duro offers the large wheelbase of about 1270 mm, minimum ground clearance of 155 mm and saddle height of nearly 790 mm. Apart from the other measurements, the total curb weight of Mahindra Duro is about 114 kg.

Style and Engineering

Mahindra Duro looks very pretty and it is similar to the Kinetic Nova but comes with some modifications over that. The Duro provides a feel of full-sized scooter for the beginners with its eye-catchy appearance. The front part of the scooter is really attractive which consists of many features such as long sized turn indicators, bright and radiant headlight, rear view mirrors, front mudguard and handlebars. The company’s logo and Duro sticker is pasted at the front of the Rodeo which is very impressive. The halogen headlight provides a clear visibility while riding at the night time or in bad weather condition. The rear view mirrors are not available in body colours but the grab rails are in body colour. It has a decent and bright instrument cluster comprising fuel guage, speedometer, odometer, upper beam indicator and indicators lights. The background colour of the cluster is white providing a cool look to the rider with the clear information about the scooter. The seating arrangement of the Duro is very comfortable and luxurious for both rider and the pillion which is suitable for long rides too. The scooter comes with an under seating storage space of about 20 litres for placing some shopping bags, full sized helmet and some other things. There are two lights at the storage compartment which enables to see clearly even in night time. The rear part of the scooter is also really nice with the stylish tail light like the Nova scooter. Overall, the fit and finish and quality is an appreciable one.

Mahindra Duro Engine Details

Mahindra Duro has been developed with the similar engine of its previous scooters such as Mahindra Flyte, Mahindra Rodeo etc. The Duro is powered by a 124.6 cc, four stroke engine which churns out the maximum power output of 8.11 KW @ 7000 RPM along with the maximum torque output of 9 NM @ 5500 RPM. The engine of Duro is coupled with an automatic gearless CVT transmission providing mind blowing throttle response and it never lose the flow in any speed.

Mahindra Duro Performance

Pickup and Acceleration is not a big problem in Mahindra Duro since it is fitted with a powerful engine delivering high power and torque. The scooter can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 12.1 seconds along with the maximum speed of 80 kmph.

Mahindra Duro Mileage

Mahindra claims that the Duro would generate a healthy mileage while compared with some other scooters. The Duro produces an average mileage of about 56.25 kmpl of ARAI certified. But it gives the city mileage of about 50 kmpl and 56.25 kmpl on highway roads. The fuel tank capacity of the Mahindra Duro is about 6.5 litres.

Brakes and Suspension Systems

Braking and Handling is really appreciable in Mahindra Duro in which it features a 130 mm diameter drum brakes at both front and rear. These braking mechanism helps to stop the vehicle immediately once applying brakes. Likewise, the suspension is also awesome in which the Duro has a telescopic front suspension and hydraulic rear suspension providing excellent road grip and handling facilities. The tyres are wider and stylish of size 3.5” x 10” giving smooth and comfortable ride.
