The BMW X5 is currently in its fourth-generation and is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The SUV is locally assembled at BMW India's Chennai facility. The refreshed 2019 BMW X5 gets a new design styling with a restyled front bumper featuring a larger kidney design grille, new headlights and LED daytime running lights, chunk LED tail-lights and a restyled rear bumper. The interior of the car gets an all-new dashboard with two 12.3-inch digital screens. One of the screens holds a fully digital instrument cluster while the other screen is an updated infotainment touchscreen display. BMW offers the new X5 in three trim levels - M Sport Petrol, Sport Diesel and xLine Diesel. The M Sport variant gets a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 340hp power at a torque of 450Nm. On the other hand, both the diesel variants are powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder turbocharged engine which churns out peak power and torque outputs of 265hp and 620Nm respectively. Both the engines get mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
