Vehicle space overview
The SKODA Superb is a truly comfortable full size car, perfect for both families and business travel. Interior space is extremely generous and offers roominess which is normally only available in high end luxury vehicles. Clever use of the interior space creates unusually generous room for occupants. To put it simply, the space sets the tone in the Superb.

Rear legroom
Passengers sitting in the rear of the Superb have more room available than in any other vehicle of this class. The floor mats in the back are just as long as the ones in the front showcasing how spacious the Superb is.

Luggage space
SKODA Superb comes with 565 litres of boot capacity, expandable to 1,700 litres with the rear seatbacks completely folded. Other storage compartments includes rear seat centre armrest with storage compartment and cup holders and the Jumbo Box storage space under the front centre armrest to store your personal effects etc.

Wet case umbrella holder
The SKODA Superb comes with an ingenious umbrella specially designed for the car, which fits into a unique storage compartment in the rear left door. Even when the umbrella is wet, just place it back into its special slot and a thoughtfully designed internal drainage system drains away the water and spares cabin dampness.

Twindoor with soft-touch closing
An absolute novelty, and a world- first technology patented by SKODA, the Twindoor feature allows you to either open just the boot lid (like a traditional sedan) or the entire tailgate including the rear window (like a hatchback) to facilitate easy loading and unloading of small and large baggage alike. When shutting the boot there is no need to use force to close the lid.All you have to do is gently bring down the boot lid and the complete closure and locking is carried out automatically by small electric motors. The soft - touch system quietly draws in and locks the boot lid without disturbing the hush in the passenger cabin.

Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS) with LED daytime running lights
The Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS) is automatically activated by light sensors that switch on the headlights under low light conditions. The AFS headlight control system also changes the geometry of the light beam, adapting the light pattern on the road to different driving conditions. It optimises illumination and enhances safety by enabling quicker response to obstacles. It gradually shifts the light pattern so that it does not disturb the driver. In rainy conditions, the frontlight pattern shortens and widens to avoid the dazzling effect as the light beam scatters on rain droplets, thereby increasing safety for the occupants.

Headlights corner function with front fog lights
As the driver activates the turn indicator, or begins to turns the car either left or right, cornering lights automatically light up the left or the right fog lamp to further illuminate the road in the direction in which the car is about to turn. This improves visibility for the driver by illuminating dark areas around the front corner of the car.

Parktronic – front and rear park distance control
Parktronic sensors probe the space around the front and rear of the car to determine the presence of obstacles and accordingly generates audio warning signal which helps to make better judgement. The Parktronic display on the central infotainment system shows the distance and direction of obstacle on a large colour screen.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
The Electronic Stability Control (ESC), helps the driver handle critical situations, and allows for greater stability and control over the car in emergency situations. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) constantly compares current data about the driving behaviour of the vehicle with preset values. If the values do not match, the ECU uses several safety systems of the car to stabilize the vehicle.ESC uses the abilities of ABS, ASR and a few other special sensors. This allows it to prevent both slipping and locking of the wheels. The guiding principle of its function is limiting engine torque when required, and braking the appropriate wheel to help stabilise the car (inner rear wheel in case of under-steer, and outer front wheel in case of over-steer).ESC provides significant assistance to the driver, but it still cant overcome the laws of physics. ESC can help the driver only to the point where the limits of grip are not exceeded.

ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)
The objective of the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) is to keep the car under control even during abrupt braking. If during abrupt braking the wheels of the car lock, then the driver loses steering control of the car and it becomes uncontrollable, be it on slippery surface or dry tarmac. The SKODA ABS prevents wheels from locking and keeps them rolling by reducing the braking force on individual wheels. This enables the driver to avoid obstacles by steering the car away from them. The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) continuously compares data from the speed sensors on individual wheels. If abrupt deceleration of any wheel is detected, the hydraulics receive a command to release brake pressure from that wheel, so the wheel resumes rolling. The signal from wheel speed sensor changes again and the ECU recognizes that the wheel is un-locked again. It is therefore able to transfer the brake force again and the sensor gives command to apply the brake pressure. Up to 16 such cycles can occur each second.

KESSY - keyless entry, start and exit system with engine start/stop button
The Keyless Entry Start and exit System (KESSY) function seamlessly integrates multiple technologies that let you access the car and operate motor ignition without ever taking the vehicle’s key out of your pocket.
