About Yamaha FZ
FZ-16 gave the major break-through to Yamaha India with its radical design and neat perfect ergonomics. Known as the 'Lord of the Streets', FZ-16 is futuristic in design, miles apart from any of the 150cc bikes available in the country. FZ-16's specials include the mid ship muffler that aids to concentrate the entire weight of the bike, in the middle which thereby, increase the handling quality of the motorcycle. Powering the bike is a 149cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, SOHC, fuel-injected engine producing 13.2PS power @ 8,000rpm and 12.8Nm of torque @ 6,000rpm. The engine gets mated to a 5-speed Manual gearbox and offers an impressive ARAI mileage of 45kmpl. The top speed of the bike is 112kmph. Braking duties are handled by Disc brakes at both ends. Yamaha FZ features telescopic suspension at the front and swingarm suspension at the rear.
