About Yamaha R15
The costliest and most sophisticated technology bearing 150cc motorcycle in India, is the Yamaha YZF R15, popularly known as '1 lakh bike'. The reason, being the high price tag for a 150 cc engine powered bike. But, Yamaha justifies the price with the technology incurred in developing this racing spirited bike. For instance, it has liquid cooled engine, fuel injection, deltabox frame, linked type monocross suspension, riding dynamics design and the list goes on. The 149.8cc engine produces a peak power of 17PS @ 8,500 rpm and 15Nm @ 7,500 rpm of peak torque. R15 is equipped with disc brakes in both front and rear wheels, ensuring neat perfect braking.
