Mahindra, one of the leading producer in the small commercial vehicle segment introduces Maxximo in a two different body styles-the minivan and the goods carrier. The combination of best-in-class technology, unmatched performance and superior style and comfort gives rise to a new product named Maxximo. It is available in four attractive color shades of Appy Red,Diamond White,Sunny Yellow and Leaf Green. Let see,whether Maxximo is the correct proportionate of all such mixtures.

Build and Style:

Front grill with multi-focal reflectors gives the truck a stylish look. In addition to this, addition of wraparound headlamps serves the dual purpose of enhancing the beauty at the front fascia and improve the visibility during night drive. Regarding the interior part, it gives the feel of looking at the car's beige and tan.Sophistication is being provided in terms of seating comfort thus the passengers won’t feel tired over long ride. In such a way, the seats are well-cushioned and too comes along with headrests.

The cabin is spacious enough to with ample space for legroom and knee room thus paving for hassle-free entry and exit. Addition of bench seat take away the obstruction found between the driver and the co-driver seat. Further the instrument console comprising of digital odometer, double trip meter and integrated clock gives a stylish look. Maxximo boasts of following features like cargo body's footstep, windshield wiper that encompasses intemittent function and inbuilt spray system, dual-mounted sun visor and mobile charger facility.All such aforementioned features have been employed mainly to increase the overall convenience.Also,the lockable glovebox is found at the centre of the simple dashboard for placing any materials.Fit and finish is found to be executed well.

For safety concerns, frontal crash protector and drive-by-wire accelerator system have been added. With the aid of this drive-by-wire accelerator system, one can overtake other vehicles on the road in a safe manner. To halt the vehicle all of a sudden, Special brake system named LSPV(Load Sensing Proportionate Valve) and booster have been deployed. Moreover,to make the ride exiting ,features like hand brake position, dead pedal, steering -wheel made of gripper and soft-touch material ,larger rear-window and windshield have been offered.

Engine and Performance:

Maxximo is the world's first mini-truck that is powered up by a 0.9L 2 cylinder CRDe diesel engine into which the DOHC technology gets implemented and 4-valve per cylinder. It produces upto the maximum of 25 bhp of power and 55 Nm of torque that gets transmitted to the rear wheels via 4-speed manual transmission unit. This transmission unit has been introduced for handling the shifting of gears in a crispier way.Even before you hit 10kph,the first gear is almost gone that requires you to shift to the second gear immediately, but, the ratios seem well chosen. Further the position of the engine :mid-mounted, and low under the driver seat makes the handling dynamics much better. Also, the centre of gravity gets lowered a little bit, thus keeping the truck from feeling top-heavy.

With the low consumption on fuel, the truck would run 20kmpl of BS-III compliant. Though the truck stops at 45kph,it doesn’t make us feel that slow.Also ,it cut down your costs on operational and maintanance. The truck would carry upto 850kg of load. Regarding the suspension setup, the rear end gets the 6-leaf spring suspension possessing thicker wheel rims,that tends to make the Maxximo more sturdy.Also,the rear front sports out McPherson struct with coil spring for promoting smooth ride over the tyres that are 12-inch radial tube type.However,it’s a little boucy.

With the proliferation of products in the small load category segment, Maxximo is the most-wanted truck.Maxximo earn its fame through its trendy and stylish look,unbeatable performance and convenience.Thus arriving at the affordable cost of Rs 3,51,000(ex-showroom,Delhi),it tends to help thousands of customers to stay ahead in life.It seems to be a tough competitor to Tata Ace.
