TVS Motor named after its founder T V Sundaram ,the only Indian two-wheeler company to won 'Deming Prize for commitment to quality control' in 2002.Commercial production for the motorcycles commences in the year 1984;subsequently technical joint-venture between Sundaram Clayton and Japanese giant Suzuki was signed thus giving rise to 'TVS-Suzuki'. With an intention to develop products with high endurance with Indian road conditions ;TVS-Suzuki had rolled out many successful models. However this joint venture doesn't last more than 18 years since the opinion brewed up After that the companies parted their ways and the company also rechristened as TVS Motor. Over the years, TVS's growth rate has been phenomenal in terms of size and turnover.
