March 10,2011 - Tata Motors of India launched the most fuel efficient car named the new Tata Indica eV2 in India.It is powered by the all new CR4 Common Rail Diesel engine and offers an excellent mileage of 25kmpl.In the ex-showroom in Delhi,its diesel variant is priced between Rs. 3.95 lakhs and Rs. 4.77 lakhs and its petrol variant is priced between Rs. 2.95 lakhs and Rs. 3.58 lakhs.
August 20,2010 - Tata Motors launched the new version of its Tata Indica V2 which is named as Tata Indica V2 Turbomax.It is packed with BS IV emission norms and is available as two variants namely DLE and DLS.The DLE variant of Indica V2 Turbomax features a standard steering wheel and the DLS variant features a 4 spoke power steering wheel.It endeavours a mileage of 19kmpl.

Exteriors

Engine Capacity and Performance
Tata Indica V2 is available in both petrol and diesel versions.Its four variants except the Turbomax is powered by a 4 cylinder in-line diesel engine with five speed manual gearbox with new Microprocessor based Engine Management System technology that results in higher engine performance.The diesel engine delivers a power of 53.5PS at 5,500rpm and 8.5kgm of maximum torque at 2,500 rpm.It has a displacement of 1396cc and its top speed is 135kmph.
Tata Indica V2 Turbomax is now loaded with a 1405cc, 4 cylinder 475 IDI Turbo Intercooled Diesel powertrain that offers a power of 71 Ps at 4500 rpm and a high torque of 135 Nm at 2500 rpm.

Wheels
The older variants of Tata Indica is equipped with 13 inch wheels with radial tyres and the new Tata Indica Turbomax is packed with 14 inch steel wheels which are fully covered by puncture resistant radial tyres.The tyre size of Tata Indica Turbomax is 165/65 R14 while the old one has 165/65 R13 tyre size.
Brakes
Tata Indica V2 comes with ventilated disc brakes at the front end wheels and drum brakes at the rear end wheels.It is also fitted with Dual Circuit, Diagonal Split Hydraulic Brakes that slows down the car quickly.
Handling and Safety
Tata Motors offer lots of new safety features to Tata Indica that ensure the safety of the driver and the other passengers. The safety features of Tata Indica are Child Safety locks, Anti-Submarine Seats, Collapsible Steering Column, Side intrusion beam on all 4 doors, Provision for Rear Fog Lamps, Head lamp leveler and so on.

Tata Indica V2 DLE BSII
It is the base variant of Tata Indica that complies with the BSII (Bharat Stage II) emission norms but doesn’t carry few standard features like power steering, body colored bumpers, door rub rails etc.
Tata Indica V2 DLE BSIII
It offers the same features that Tata Indica V2 DLE BSII carries. The only distinction is that it complies with BSIII emission norms.
Tata Indica V2 DLS BSII
The additional features that this variant of Tata Indica offers are power steering, body colored bumpers, door rub rails, 4 spoke steering wheel etc.
Tata Indica V2 DLS BSIII
It is the top end variant of Tata Indica that offers the same features that Tata Indica V2 DLS BSII carries, the only difference being that it complies with the BSIII emission norms.
Tata Indica V2 Turbomax DLE BS IV
This newly added member of Indica V2 family is powered by a 1405cc Turbo intercooled diesel charged engine that churns out 71 Ps of peak power at 4500 rpm and pumps out top torque of 85 Nm at 2500 rpm. It is dressed with black wheel arch flairs and sill valance covers, standard floor console with provision for mobile charger/cigarette lighter.
Tata Indica V2 Turbomax DLS BS IV
This top end model comes with the same engine of DLE with some additional features like four spoke power steering wheel, body colour wheel arch flairs and sill valance covers, door rub rails, new horn pads for steering wheels and new luxury floor console with provision for mobile charger/cigarette lighter.
