Piaggio India launched its new model named as Vespa VXL 150 with lot of cosmetic changes priced at Rs.85000 respectively. This new scooter has been designed with a moncoque full steel body construction with revised features which adds some glow to the retro styled scooters. Styling and Engineering

The scooter comes with a high quality speedometer, well positioned warning lamps and Digital Fuel indicator ensuring an easy ride even for longer hours of travelling.

Moving to the seating arrangment, Piaggio offers the vehicle with comfortable and elegant rider friendly seats with steel grab rail for the pillion rider giving supreme comfort and space for a leisurely ride around town. The Vespa VXL 150 is fitted with a powerful engine housed with a three valve aluminium cylinder head engine with 150cc displacement. It churns out the maximum power of 11.6PS at 7000RPM along with maximum torque of 11.5Nm at 5500RPM mated to continuous variable transmission.

Fuel Efficiency

The Vespa VXL 150 can hold 8.5 litre capacity of fuel which has three phase electrical system and auto ignition. It is fitted with a carburetor fuel delivery system for better fuel efficiency. This scooter delivers an attractive fuel efficiency of 54.9kmpl which is really outstanding.

Braking and Suspension Systems

This retro styled VXL 150 scooter comes with a 200 mm ventilated front disc brake and 140 mm diameter rear drum brake. This combination of disc and drum brake helps to halt the vehicle suddenly without skidding while applying brake. But it has no Antilock Braking System. When it is talking about the suspension system, the scooter has an aircraft derived single side arm front suspension with anti-dive characteristics and dual effect hydraulic shock absorber at the rear suspension. This braking and suspension system helps to handle the vehicle in an easy way and safety way.

Compared to the standard VX, the new Piaggio Vespa VXL has lot of exciting features which separates it from its 125c sibling. Piaggio scooters are always of retro style but the new Vespa VXL 150 comes with a decent design and build quality.
