Nissan Sunny Review

Nissan, one of the leading manufacturer has launched its new sedan Sunny with luxurious and comfortable features. The Sunny is available at an attractive price range in two options. It has a special feature of Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission. The Sunny was codenamed as L02B designed on the basis of ‘V’ platform similar to Micra.

The Nissan Sunny is really attractive vehicle which comes in two variants with affordable prices namely

1) Nissan Sunny XL - Rs. 7,61,000
2) Nissan Sunny XL CVT AT - Rs. 8,91,000

Engine

At first the petrol engine was rolled out and it comes with a 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder powertrain which delivers a maximum power of about 100 PS and a maximum torque of about 134 NM through a five speed manual gearbox. Since the car is equipped with V-platform ensuring greater power, acceleration and performance. At the same time, the diesel engine of the car is powered with a modern 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder, K9K engine which delivers power of 86 PS @ 3750 RPM and torque of 200 NM @ 2000 RPM through five speed manual transmission. The K9K engine are enhancing the turbocharger response at low engine speeds.

Mileage, Acceleration and Fuel Economy

The Nissan Sunny is well known for its excellent mileage, performance and fuel efficiency. The petrol variant of the car generates a mileage of about 15kmpl in the urban roads and 17kmpl on the highways while the diesel variant of the car generates a mileage of 21.64kmpl on both highways and city roads. The petrol and diesel version of the car offers a decent acceleration which gives 175kmph and it can touch 100kmph speed in just 15.8 seconds. These excellent features provides drivable engine good low end power, balanced drive as well as smooth revving.

Design and Comfort

Interiors

Nissan Sunny is packed with high quality interior and comfort features in which it possess a dual tone dashboard with instrument cluster, automatic/manual AC controls and vents, audio system. It has two big central dials and small dials with rectangular shaped AC vents. The Sunny features a spacious interiors with the boot capacity of about 490 litres respectively. The car comprises overhead console box, shift knob, panel box, foot operated parking brake, power windows, rear centre armrest with cup holders, keyless entry system, push button start/stop system, electrically adjustable ORVMs etc. The new sedan has the seating capacity of 5 passengers along with the driver and the driver seat is adjustable. In order to handle the car easily, it features a 3 spoke steering wheel which looks so stylish. The car is integrated with automatic AC with vents for cool cabin atmosphere. It has a CD/MP3 player with four speakers which enhances the comfort and entertainment level. There is an ikey for Sunny assuring one touch door lock and unlock facility with remote boot opening. It possess a single switch on the door to lock and unlock the doors. Apart from the other, it also includes glove box, fine vision meters, ample legroom, shoulder room, head room, hip room etc. Nissan Sunny interior features makes very comfy, pleasurable and entertainable riding experience.

Exteriors

The Nissan Sunny comes with shining exterior and eye-catching interiors. It looks so aggressive with its larger jewel shaped halogen headlamps, cute smiling chrome grille with slats and company logo, separate fog lamp cluster and lower air intake. The car has a body colour rear view mirrors, body color mud flaps, door handles and bumper which offers a sporty car look along with its new style tail lamp cluster and designer slopes. It has a round shaped fog lamp clusters fitted in individual slots and the outline of each panel enhances distinctive look of the car. The Sunny is integrated with 14 and 15 inch alloy wheels and steel wheels with tubeless tyres of size 185/70 R14 (steel) and 185/65 R15 (alloy) which ensures better safety. The newly designed tail lamp cluster consists of rear turn indicator and reverse light. The overall length of the car is measured as 4425mm, 1695mm width and 1505mm height. The sunny gives the ground clearance of about 165mm and 2600mm wheelbase.

Braking and Handling

The Nissan Sunny comes with excellent braking and handling features. The Sunny is fitted with front disc and rear drum brake which is the best combination for sudden stopping of the vehicle. It has a power braking system with Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic BrakeForce Distribution and Brake Assist. The suspension is of very soft in which the front suspension is of McPherson Strut and rear torsion beam suspension with stabilizer bar. These features offers comfortable driving experience and supporting the rigidity of the chassis.

Safety Features

The Nissan Sunny is fully packed with advanced safety features includes ABS with EBD, front dual airbags, front disc brake, halogen headlamps, front fog lamps, all seat belts, engine immobilizer, front and side impact beams, central locking, child safety locks, day and night insider rear view mirror etc.

Cheated by Nissan

Dont go for Nissan Sunny, the company is cheating the consumers. Actually I was also cheated by Nissan and I have a Sunny car and purchased through bank loan. I have faced lot of problems and if we tried to contact the dealer, they could not attend the phone and its email id, website everything seemed to be fake. I had a worst experience with the Nissan car and so please friends dont buy Nissan cars.

Best in Class

Actually I feel very proud to say that Nissan Sunny would be suitable for both city driving and highway roads. But sometimes it is not easy to turn in small streets. The car makes every body to turn their head for its excellent look and style. The rear end of the car is too bulky which needs some modifications. Rear seat comfort and leg room are the best features to compete with Laura. The service is good and dont regret it.

Family Car

I found lot of best features in Nissan Sunny which includes ample leg space, good air conditioning effect, excellent fuel efficieny and smooth gear shifts. For longer and safer drives, Sunny is good compared to its competitors. It offers a smooth gear. fine pick up and good mileage. The interior color of the vehicle needs some improvements and the music system is too old and it needs to be changed. It is a decent car usually suitable for 40-55 age people group.

Waste of money

Guys, I am one of the owner of Nissan Sunny and my vehicle keys are broken in door lock even in less than two years of normal usage. While I took the car to the nearest service center, they informed that the broken keys are not covered in warranty. Actually the company should give the consumer a very high quality material. They should take necessary steps for this but simply said that not covered under warranty which is very bad. Like this I have faced lot of problems and so I recommend not to go for Nissan Sunny.
