One of the leading and stylish two wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched its new 125cc CB Shine SP into Indian market which would definitely replace the existing models. It comes with an attractive cost of Rs.59,900 in five different color options. The new CB Shine SP gets a new and improved engine over its predecessor bike. Honda CB Shine SP 125 is quite suited for those who need the bike that are affordable in terms of maintenance and fuel efficiency.

Style and Engineering


Honda CB Shine SP 125 looks very stylish with a freshly design muscular tank, semi digital console along with bikini fairing on the sides. It is an impressive two wheeler looks to have a lot of premium touches all around. This bike features golden side panels, dual paint scheme with eye catching graphics making it very attractive for the buyers. Honda CB Shine SP 125 comes with a much more prominent headlight cowl and it has borrowed the style of headlight and exhaust from the recently launched vehicle Livo. Honda has provided this bike with a five split alloy wheel making it look upmarketish and it gets a clear lens turn indicator which is a welcome move. One of the interesting factor is that the bike features a part digital and part analogue instrument cluster looking very impressive. But the manufacturer has missed to offer a solitary turn indicator which is a great drawback. Compared with other Honda vehicles, the fit-finish and quality of the bike is top notch. The vehicle could be able to hold 10.5 litres of fuel and the fuel tank is decorated with a graphic stickers. Moving to the seating arrangement, the bike gets a comfortable flat type seats quite suited even for long hours of travelling with a rear grab rail. The two piece designed muffler at the side enhances the side profile of the two wheeler and the rear ends with a bright tail lamp.

Honda CB Shine SP 125 Engine


Nowadays, Honda bikes are offered into the market with HET technology which is quite good for efficient use of fuel and it offers utmost refinement and reliability. The engine of the bike is well incorporated with a 124.7cc, Air cooled, 4 stroke SI engine churning out the maximum power of 10.57PS at 7500RPM and maximum torque of 10.3NM at 5500RPM mated to a five speed transmission. Packed with an excellent performance engine, this bike would definitely returns good fuel efficiency of 65kmpl with the fuel tank capacity of 10.5 litres and there is no doubt in acceleration & pick up.

Braking and Suspension Systems


The CB Shine SP 125 comes with a steel diamond frame type along with good braking and suspension systems. It is fitted with a 240mm disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Apart from that, Honda has offered this bike with a combi braking system ensuring better safety. When it is talking about its suspension system, the vehicle is embedded with a telescopic fork suspension at the front and spring loaded hyro swring arm at the rear which is quite easy to handle the vehicle at any kind of road condition. In addition, the wheel size of the bike is also same as the old shine at 18-inch fitted with ceat tyres of 80/100-80 for better grip and long life.

Eventhough it borrows some features from its previous model, the new Honda CB Shine SP 125 has some unique features which makes the buyers to opt for this model and makes the rider’s feel as very special. This new CB Shine SP 125 would be really a tough competitor bike to its similar other vehicles in its segment.
