Fiat Linea Engine Details

The Fiat Linea is available in two engine options such as 1.4 L and 1.4 L turbo charged petrol engines. The 1.4 L engine comes with 1368 cc, FIRE, DOHC, 16 valve petrol engine which delivers the peak power of 90 BHP @ 6000 RPM and peak torque of 115 NM @ 4500 RPM. Another engine 1.4 L is very powerful and it is powered by a 16 vlave, 1368 cc turbo charged petrol which churns out the maximum power of 114 PS @ 5000 RPM and maximum torque of 207 NM @ 2200 RPM respectively. The diesel variant of the car is packed with the 1.3 L, 1248 cc, DOHC, 16 valve Multijet diesel engine which produces the maximum power fo 93 PS @ 4000 RPM and 209 RM @ 2000 RPM. This engine has VGT technology which improves the overall performance and it assures no noise and vibration even beyond 120 kmph.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

The acceleration, mileage and fuel economy is excellent in the car in which the 1.4 L petrol engine can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 12.6 seconds with the maximum speed of 165 kmph and it can generate a healthy mileage of about 12 kmpl in city roads and 16 kmpl on highways. Similarly, the 1.4 L turbo charged petrol engine can cross the barrier of 0-100 kmph in just 11.14 seconds with the maximum speed of 186 kmph and it is expected to offer better mileage. The diesel engine of the car can touch the 100 kmph mark in just 13.8 seconds and it can deliver 14 kmpl in urban roads and 19 kmpl on highway roads.

Design and Engineering

Fiat Linea Interior Features

The Fiat Linea comes with the dual tone interiors which makes the customers to feel very premium. The interiors are really impressive with the exciting features such as leather finished steering wheel, gear knob, seat fabrics options, AC fascia and instrument panels etc. The instrument panel is placed just behind the steering wheel which is of three spoke and it consists of two round shaped dials and a centrally positioned service schedule reminder as well as digital clock. It comprises of an additional tray, cup holder on rear arm rest, two glove boxes, 12V power socket, steering wheel with audio and Blue & Me controls, power windows etc. The dashboard of the car is designed with the orange backlit and the dashboard comes with the external temperature display. For better entertainment, the car gets an audio system which sports a MP3/CD player with FM player which makes the journey a pleasurable one. The Fiat Linea is packed with the manual HVAC system for the base variants whereas the top end variant gets a sport automatic climate control feature. There is a rear AC vents similar to the front one which is really exciting. The car has an interior roof light with dimming effect, vanity mirrors, front and rear roof lights, foldable key, collapsible rear sun curtains, sunglass holder, front seat back pockets and many more. While comparing with other cars, Fiat Linea has mind-blowing exterior features which is really awesome. The body components of the car is based on the Italian engineering and design. The front fascia of the car possess a nose like design with the human eye shaped dual parabola headlamps along with the longer hood. It has a front radiator grille with silver finish slats which comprises a company logo as well as the front fog lamp slots. The front appearance of the car adds more style to the exteriors. The external dimensions of the Linea includes a length of 4560 mm, width of 1730 mm and height of 1487 mm respectively. Fiat Linea Brakes

The Fiat Linea is designed with proficient and excellent braking systems in which the front wheels are fitted with the disc brakes while the rear wheels are packed with the drum brakes. The disc brakes are of large diameter which helps in de-accelerating the car more instantly. It is also fitted with an advanced braking technology AntiLock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution which improves more safety even at slippery roads. On the other hand, the front suspension of the car comes with an independent wheel with helical coil spring, double acting telescopic dampers and stabilizer type whereas the rear pack is of torsion beam type helical coil spring as well as double acting telescopic dampers and stabilizer. All these features are very good for the safety and security.

It is among the best designs in the country. It conveys simplicity, luxury and robustness from its looks alone. Inside the Linea’s characters are what all it looks like from the outside. The car offers luxurious interiors and you will always mention the seats to everyone. The ride is firm and steady but the Linea is more of a chauffeur driven car.

It is targeted at the urban professional who loves to be pampered and loves to be crazy sometimes by attempting to kill himself by entering a corner faster. He will check the seat linings for stitch issues and also time the 100kmph mark. All this with a keen eye on the fuel consumption.
