Jun 5, 2007 - The two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj launched its new LPG variant named as “Platina” in India with an affordable cost while compared to other. The Company revealed that the bike would have a 5 kg LPG cylinder as well as a 10 litre petrol tank and the cost of the bike would be very low.

Nov 24, 2007 - Bajaj Auto has expanded its festive season offer of Rs.4,000 discount for 100cc Platina bike till December. But it had a slashed price of Rs.30,000. The Company believed that they would receive an amazing response from their customers on the Platina festive offer.

Design and Comfort

The Bajaj Platina 125cc is one of the sport looking bike which gives eye-catchy look compared to its previous bike. The bike is designed with exciting new graphics and colour options which enhance the masculine appearance of the bike. The Bajaj Platina 125 consists of a bright halogen lamp for good visibility during night time. The Electric Start option is present in the bike which ensures free start in traffic. The turn indicators are attached which gives flexibility for the riders. In addition, a black tinted windshield is fitted at the top of the headlamp. The instrument panel comprises of fuel gauge and speedometer.

The Bajaj Platina has 125cc engine which is very helpful for more power and pick-up. The engine offers smooth and easy riding. The fuel tank of the bike gives a macho look and the fuel capacity of the bike is around 13 litres. The Bajaj Platina 125cc is housed with 4-Stroke, Natural Air-Cooled Spark Ignition engine which pumps out the maximum power of 8.5Ps @ 7000rpm and torque of 10Nm @ 4000rpm. The engine of the bike returns five speed gearbox. While the base variant powers a 4-Stroke, Natural, Air-Cooled engine with a displacement of 99.27cc. The engine gives out a peak power of 6.03kw @ 7500rpm and torque of 8.05Nm @ 4500rpm. The Ignition type of the bike is Digital CDI and TRICS III.

Mileage and Fuel Efficiency

The top variant of Bajaj Platina delivers a mileage of around 77kmpl while the base variant 100cc generates a mileage of about 60kmpl respectively. Since the Bajaj Platina is well packed with ExhausTEC technology which enhance the mileage, power and performance.

Safety Features

The Bajaj Platina 125cc is built with Hydraulic, Telescopic type front suspension and Hydraulic, ‘SNS’ type rear suspension. As well as the Platina 125cc possess a drum brake of about 110 mm at both front and rear part. The drum brakes are very helpful for bringing the bike under perfect control in any riding mode. The front and rear tyres are so wide and of tubetype which gives smooth and easy riding.

The Bajaj Platina is powered with a 4-Stroke, Natural and Air-Cooled engine which returns four speed gear box along with the L shaped kick lever.
