Tiago EV, the fully electric concept of Tiago hatchback has been unveiled recently at the LCV 2017 which is an expo for low carbon emission vehicles held at Millbrook, UK. The model is likely to make its Indian debut at the 2018 Auto Expo. The concept uses a liquid-cooled 85KW electric drive motor which delivers 200Nm of peak torque output. Transmission will be done via a single-speed gearbox. Tiago EV has a top speed of 135kmph and can reach 0-100kph in less than 11 seconds. With a kerb weight of 1040kgs, the concept can have a range of over 100kms on a single charge. After its launch, the Tiago EV will be the first electric vehicle of Tata Motors to go on sale in India. We can expect the Tata Tiago EV to be launched sometime in 2018 at a price tag of Rs.5 lakhs.
