Skoda Rapid,the VW Vento challenger is to be launched during Diwali this year.It is built on the same platform as the Vento and hence will come with the same 1.6 litre petrol and diesel engines of Vento.Both the engines will deliver a power of 105bhp.Rapid features a wider grille, simple but bold lines and beautifully crafted surfaces which makes it to look better than the Vento.It will get a traditional boot.Skoda is to introduce its updated chrome on black logo in Rapid which looks much more fashionable and modern.Skoda will price its Rapid slightly less than the Vento and a couple of features could be deleted from the Rapid’s equipment list too.There is also a talk that Skoda might price the Rapid in the price range of Rs.7-8 lakhs as such as Maruti SX4.
