New Skoda Superb 2016 has been launched in both petrol and diesel engine options. This all new avatar features the model's Laurent and Klement version. It has been designed on the basis of Volkswagen's lightweight modular MQB platform. The two engine options includes a 2.0 litre diesel and a 1.8 litre direct injection, turbocharged petrol engine delivering maximum torque of 32.63kgm and 25.49kgm. Both the engines are able to churn out the maximum power output of 177.5bhp. The petrol engine is paired to a six speed manual transmission while the diesel engine is mated to a six speed dual clutch automatic transmission ensuring smooth riding experience. The petrol motor of the vehicle is also embedded with a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox and paddle shifters are provided for all automatic gearbox. It features a standard Skoda's SmartLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a 6.5 inch touchscreen interface. The company claims the fuel efficiency range of around 14.12 kmpl for the manual petrol car and 14.67 kmpl for automatic petrol. Likewise, the automatic only diesel car is able to return mileage of 18.19 kmpl. Some of the standard safety features of the vehicle includes Hill Hold Control, ABS, pedestrian protection, multi collision brake assist, dual front airbags, front and rear side airbags and curtain airbags as well as driver fatigue detection system.
