Hyundai in search of potential export markets 2

The sensible incentive offered in the European car market, cash-for-clinkers scheme, boosted the net sale in the global car market. But recently the scheme was scrapped in the European Union to have a deep hit on the car industry. Scrappage scheme came to the existence with the governments of European Union offered incentives for vehicles worn out and replaced by new ones. The purpose was to induce twin purpose- tuning the automobile industry and wiping out inefficient, high-emissive vehicles on the run. The scheme saw a good response in the European Union with more governments promoted it for economic stimulation. The scheme came as a great relief for the industries which faced global recession.

Hyundai India is one among the worst sufferers in this regard. Last calendar year the company could export 270000 units to its potential countries and there has been a makeshift policy to  retain the same figures for this year too. The company’s director for marketing and sales disclosed that the market has become challenging to retain the similar output volume that of last year. There is, he added, a hope to clinch the single-digit growth this year. He further added that the lapse in the export market would be compensated with new export regions of 10 countries. The company is pinning hope on i20 which has been making a tremendous stint all over the globe and there is a possible growth of the company in this year.

While Maruti Suzuki is the sole dominant in the domestic market of India, Hyundai has the reputation as the largest exporter of cars in the Indian scenario. By exporting 270000 units (68%of the market share and 50% went to the European Union) , the company induced great demand for its vehicles. The EU has been providing a good platform for Hyundai’s compact cars. As of now, Hyundai has been exporting cars to 110countries – Columbia to Vietnam- besides the European countries like Germany, Spain, Italy and the UK. Accent is making a good run in Algeria while in Australia i20 is making news.

Mercedes may be a poor man

The dressing manner among the Indian citizens does not reveal the exact stature or the posture. The official declaration from Mercedes finds that even a person wearing chappal or dhoti can become the proud owner of the car. In the status hierarchy, the customers falling in the belts of Aurangabad, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur and Panaji are the immediate frontier for the prospective Mercedes car. The company foresees a growht about 25% from these states as a result of massive wealth generation in India. Aurangabad alone has got booking for 125 Mercedes Benz which signifies the importance of the vehicle. Goa, without any official dealers, has 250 Mercedes on roads.

GM Chevrolet launches Aveo CNG

GM Chevrolet today launched new variant of its sedan called Aveo CNG. As the name describes, Aveo CNG runs on CNG fuel and will be available in select markets in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Slym said, “The launch of the Aveo CNG is a testament to the importance that GM India attaches to green technology and environmentally friendly mobility solutions. Its running cost is approximately 54 percent lower than a similar vehicle powered by petrol and 25 percent lower than a similar vehicle powered by diesel. Because of the lower operating economics and the growing number of CNG stations being built across India, this new offering is expected to appeal to both individual and fleet customers. Under normal driving conditions, the Aveo CNG has a range of 180 to 200 kilometres on a full tank of CNG and is BS IV compliant.”

The Chevrolet Aveo CNG is equipped with next-generation computer-controlled CNG injection technology from Italy. In an industry first, all “critical to quality” CNG kit components are fitted at the factory – including the CNG injectors, selector switch, modified wiring and suspension – to ensure high-quality and trouble-free service. In addition, the body is reinforced to carry the additional mass of the cylinder. Sequential injection represents the most advanced level of evolution of CNG kit technology. The ECU (Electronic Controller Unit) calculates the opening times of the injectors for each cylinder and acts separately on each gas injector with the highest precision.

Aveo CNG Benefits include:

1. The sequential injection kit offers precise fuel delivery control through electronic injectors, ensuring efficient combustion.
2. The engine offers stable performance in CNG mode.
3. The Aveo has a CNG-compatible engine. Hardened valve seats and anodized pistons are used in the proven 1.4-litre VGIS (Variable Geometry Intake System) petrol engine. This ensures no engine damage or reliability issues in CNG mode.
4. Minimum service is required owing to the Aveo CNG’s advanced electronic operation.
5. The suspension has been reinforced to support the additional mass of the CNG cylinder in the trunk.
