Hero motocorp launched a new scooter called Maestro. Maestro comes with a new Generation V-Matic engine and Advanced Microprocessor Ignition (AMI) with TCIS. Maestro comes with a variomatic drive delivers optimum power and seamless acceleration at all speeds. “Maestro” has a stunning digital–analog meter console with service indicator. Maestro first time hero offering gets a combi-brake system, magnetic head ignition key with shutter and tuff-up tubes. The anti-slip texture of the floor area and foldable pillion foot peg adds to the safety of the rider. The trapezoidal headlamp with visor and combination tail light console makes the “Maestro” an eye-catcher on the road. The “Maestro” shall be available in six exciting colors – Panther Black Met, Pearl Fadeless White, Force Silver Met, Pearl Harvest Green, Candy Blazing Red and Maestro Blue Met.

Hero Honda Hero Motocorp launches maestro scooter and impulse motorcycle today in london. Hero also rebranded the brand from Hero Honda to Hero Motocorp. Hero motocorp also plans two new plants one in south india (possibly karantaka) and another one in west india (possibly Gujarat). Hero motocorp plans to invest over Rs4500 crores in next five years and slew of new products. Hero motocorp eyes selling 10million units by that time. The 110cc maestro scooter and 150cc dirt bike inspired impulse motorcycle will soon hit the market.  Irfan pathan and Ranbir kapoor are roped in as brand ambassadors to promote maestro and impulse

Hindustan Motors launches VEER

Hindustan Motors Ltd has launched its small commercial vehicle named the VEER in Kolkata.The two available models of this new SCV are VEER and VEER LX.The company also plans to launch more new vehicles by the end of this year.

The 800 kg VEER is built on the well known Ambassador platform and it features changes in the transmission and suspension systems as such for a sturdy load carrier.It is available in both diesel and CNG versions featuring BS III and BS IV emission norms respectively.

The load tray of VEER is present separately whereas for VEER LX,it is present integrated with the front cabin.The positive features of VEER are that it offers a very good level of comfort as such a car and holds low cost maintenance.Its spare parts are also easy available.

The available colours of VEER are marshall cream and brown.It is launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs.3.30 lakhs,Kolkata.

Toyota soon to launch Etios diesel

Japanese auto major,Toyota plans for an early launch of the diesel version of its recently launched saloon,Etios.Most probably,the launching will be in the month of September.This plan by Toyota is to overcome the huge demand for diesel cars in the Indian market.

The diesel variant of Etios will be powered by the 1.4 turbo-diesel engine and is expected to offer a power output of 75bhp.The Etios diesel will not hold the more expensive Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) and instead it will feature a simpler Fixed Geometry Turbo (FGT).It is mainly focused to feature a very good fuel efficiency and is expected to set a new standard for fuel efficiency among mid-size saloons.

The Etios diesel also features a spacious cabin.It is to be priced around Rs.1,00,000 more than the petrol variant and hence it will be in the price range of Rs.6-8 lakhs.

Tata launches Aria 4*2 in Mumbai

India’s largest auto maker,Tata Motors plans to sell more number of its latest crossover SUV Aria 4*2 variant due to its increase in demand.Now at present,Aria’s base model with BS III version was available at a price of Rs.11.57 lakhs and its top model with BS IV version was available at Rs.14.47 lakhs in the ex-showroom,Chennai.

R.Ramakrishnan,Vice-President of Tata Motors Commercial Passenger car business reported that they are expecting to sell more number of units in the coming months… It is for those who look for city driving in complete luxury…

He said Aria 4×2 was available in three features Prestige, Pleasure and Pure and he further informed that the Pure model in 4×2 version is new entry in this variant.The top version in Aria 4×4 is Prestige.Compared to both these cars, 16 features will be more in Prestige than the Pure variant.

GM to launch five new products in India

GM India has planned to launch its luxury brand Cadillac in the Indian market.Karl Slym,President and Managing Director of GM India said that they have completed a survey on Cadillac and insisted that Cadillac is having a strong brand recognition.He however said that the company was not willing to sell the Cadillac brand in India which GM owns worldwide.

He added that owing to the twin impact of rising interest rates and hike in fuel prices, the industry growth had slowed down between 10% and 20%.He further added that however,they will grow double the industry rate.He informed that last year,the industry grew by 30% and GM India grew by 60%.

Slym finally concluded that within the next 18 months,the company would launch five models including an LCV in all fuel variants.He said the company was expanding the capacity of Halol (Gujarat) and Talegaon (Maharashtra) plant to 1.10 lakhs and 1.7 lakhs respectively involving an investment of US$ 500 mn.

Harley-Davidson rolled out ‘Fat Boy Special’

Harley-Davidson,the US cult bike maker has declared the launch of a new model in India named “Fat Boy Special” at a price of Rs.19.7 lakhs in the ex-showroom Delhi.The company said in a statement that the new model will be imported as a completely built unit and will be available across all Harley-Davidson dealerships in addition to the 14 models currently available in the 2011 line-up.

The company also said that in addition to its existing partnership with ICICI Bank,it has now joined hands with HDFC Bank for a broad spectrum of services including consumer financing, dealer financing and banking services.

Anoop Prakash,Managing Director of Harley Davidson India commented that they are now launching the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Special, offering a special take on the motorcycle that embodies Harley-Davidson’s rich heritage.He also said that this arrangement will help more motorcycle enthusiasts realise their dream of joining the Harley-Davidson community.

Seven new models of cars are to be launched in India this month.Of the seven,4*2 version of Tata Aria and super luxury sedan A6 of Audi has been launched already on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.Remaining five are to be soon launched in the upcoming weeks of this month.They include the new version of Maruti Swift, facelifted version of Honda Jazz,the new SUV Force One from Force Motors,Volkswagen Jetta and X3 series of BMW.

Tata Motors rolled out three variants of Aria

India’s largest auto maker,Tata Motors has launched three variants of its recently rolled out SUV Aria.The three variants of the Aria are named as Prestige,Pleasure and Pure which is the newest basic variant.

PM Telang,Managing Director of Tata Motors said that with the introduction of the Tata Aria 4×2, they make the range comprehensive. He also said that as the first Indian 4×4 crossover, the Tata Aria has broken a new path for Tata Motors.He informed that the pleasure of the Aria, combining the finesse of a sedan with the muscle of an SUV, can now be availed by a larger customer segment.

The Aria 4×2 range will be available from Rs.11.61 lakh onwards in the ex-showroom, Delhi.This cost is for its base variant Pure.The Pleasure and Prestige variants of Aria cost Rs.12.61 lakhs and Rs.14.26 lakhs respectively.The new Tata Aria range along with its new 4×2 model is being made available in 85 cities through 150 Showrooms.
