Mahindra launches Scorpio Ex

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M),one of the leading auto maker in India declared the launch of the entry level model of its multi purpose vehicle Scorpio,christened the Scorpio Ex.The company posted an attractive price tag of Rs.7.53 lakhs for the new Scorpio Ex.It is powered by a new 2.5 litre m2DiCR engine which is equipped with the fuel-saving Micro Hybrid technology.The m2DiCR engine of the new Scorpio Ex churns out a power of 75bhp and a torque of 220Nm.

M&M offers the Scorpio Ex with great drivability and smoother performance.The mileage offered by the m2DiCR engine of the Scorpio Ex is 14kmpl.The four available colours of Scorpio Ex are Rocky Beige,Fiery Black,Mist Silver and Diamond White.The two additional features available in the Scorpio Ex are crash protection crumple zones and the digital immobilizer.The former helps in protecting the passengers during collision and the later protects the vehicle from theft.

Tata Motors launched new versions of Vista

India’s largest auto maker,Tata Motors yesterday launched the petrol and diesel versions of its hatchback Vista in the price range between Rs.3.88 lakhs and Rs.4.79 lakhs.The petrol version features a 1.4 litre MPFi Safire petrol engine with variable valve timing technology and the diesel version features a 1.3 litre common-rail direct injection Quadrajet diesel engine.The Vista will come in four trim levels.

The petrol engine of Vista pumps out a maximum power of 90PS at 6000rpm and the diesel engine gives a maximum power of 75PS at 4000rpm.Likewise,the mileage offered by the petrol and diesel versions are 16.7kmpl and 22.3kmpl respectively.

The company in a statement said that the car is equipped with a new feature called clutch-to-start which decreases the possibility of the engine getting re-cranked.The statement added that the four-spoke steering wheel now sports audio controls, connectivity via USB, auxiliary input and bluetooth using the blue five technology that helps pair up to five mobile phones.

The Vista comes equipped with new exterior and interior features which include front chrome grill, a new triple barrelled head lamp, alloy wheels, soft feel dash board and door pads.The other safety and security features added in Vista are the anti-braking system, dual airbags, crumple zones and side intrusion beams.

Sonalika group plans for a passenger car in two years

Sonalika Group,the automobile and agri machinery manufacturer is planning to introduce its first passenger car in the Indian market in the next fiscal year.For this,it has tied up with Italian design house Pininfarina to develop a luxury sedan for the Indian market.

L.D Mittal,the chairman of Sonalika Group said that their first passenger car would be introduced in India in one and a half years. Two other passenger vehicles would follow in another two years. They are exploring the options to market the cars in collaboration with a foreign partner and sell the products under a joint brand name.He also said that they have earmarked an investment of Rs.500 crores over the next two years to develop the cars and to expand capacity for manufacturing the products.

The passanger car would have all the features of a high-end sedan but would be available at half of the cost of a high-end sedan.It would be available in a diesel option powered by a 2-litre diesel engine.The two other passanger vehicles mentioned above are a SUV and a mid-sized sedan.The SUV and the smaller sedan are likely to be priced between Rs.8 lakhs and Rs.10 lakhs.

Force Motors launched Force One SUV

Force Motors launched the Force One SUV with its brand ambassador as Amitabh Bachchan.It has got many advanced features such as electric ORVMs with indicators,chrome twin exhaust tip,projector headlamps,etc., It features 2.2-litre common rail diesel engine of Mercedes Benz holding a 5-speed manual gearbox in it.It gets three rows of seats and each row is equipped with bucket seats.Its current ex-showroom price is Rs.10.65 lakhs.

Force one price list

Force motors today launched the Force one suv. Powered by the mercedes w210 engine developing 139bhp 326Nm of torque, this SUV is the first product from Force motors in the passenger car segment.  Built on the C-in-C platform, Force one is BSIV compliant and its 4860mm longer, 1780 wider and 1885mm taller. It runs on 235/70 R15 tubeless tyres and force one weighs 1860kg. Force motors is said to have tuned the suspension with the help of lotus engineering (the same firm involved in Scorpio handling). As of now, Force one comes in a single variant and is priced Rs10.65 lakhs (ex-showroom,Delhi).

Honda launches Jazz facelift

Honda Siel Cars India, ltoday launched the new Honda Jazz with fresh new exterior styling, enhanced interiors and several new value-added features.
