Hero Ultra Velociti EV – Pictorial Review

1) Hero Ultra Velociti: Hero which has seven electric cycles/ bikes/ scooters forayed into the powerful electric bike segment through the velociti. Unlike other electric bikes it can move beyond 25km/hr and can even reach 40kmph.

2) Hero Ultra Velociti: Fewer moving parts ensures noise free riding. Don’t look for electric start button or any kick lever, just turn the key towards right and zip away.

3) Hero Ultra Velociti: Electric motor features patented impulse inertia technology for superior performance. BLDC motor which produces a rated power of 500W is powered by the maintenance free SLA battery. The top speed for this velociti is 40kmph. In a single charging of 6 -8hrs it can travel upto 50km with a payload of 75kg.

4) Hero Ultra Velociti: Show your driving talent to your spouse, yes unlike other ebikes in velociti the maximum pay load is 125kg. Dimensions are compact (1670*650*1090mm) and kerb weight is only 88kg (7kg less than the TVS scooty). The end result is easier parking and handling.

5) Hero Ultra Velociti: It’s slim but the ‘wow’ factor is missing. Extreme use of polypropylene is to be blamed. May gone down a little bit in styling but in comfort and utility it scores high. Long foot board, storage spaces (glove box and under seat) and back rest for pillion are usable features.

6) Hero Ultra Velociti: It is the first electric bike to feature hydraulic disc brake at the front. Hi mounted stop light and brake lever cut off switch are added safety features. Suspension is through telescopic fork and twin tube at the front and the rear respectively.

7) Hero Ultra Velociti: Blue back lit dash displays the speed and the battery charge level. Instrumentation also includes an odometer. Velociti is available in two exciting colours – vibrant burgundy and cool silver.

8) Hero Ultra Velociti: Hero Ultra’s next initiative in the electric three wheeler light goods vehicle is in the advanced stages of completion, according to Deba Ghosal, director marketing, Ultra Motors. The prototype is ready and already under testing in Delhi. It may cost Rs 1.5 lakh per unit and will transport goods up to 70 km per charge. We are trying to enhance its capacity to 100 km per charge.
