About Royal Enfield Himalayan

Chennai based two wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield today launched its much awaited Himalayan bike which is powered by a single cylinder, air cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC engine with a displacement of 411cc. This engine churns out high power delivery of 24.5bhp (18.02KW) at 6500rpm and high torque delivery of 32Nm at 4000-4500rpm mated to a five speed constant mesh gearbox. It comes with a carburettor with throttle position sensor fuel supply enhancing the fuel efficiency of the new bike. The half duplex split cradle frame chassis is offered with disc brakes at both front and rear in which the front has two piston floating caliper and the rear has single piston floating caliper. Likewise, the bike gets a telescopic front fork suspension and monoshock with linkage at the rear for easy handling of the vehicle. So Royal Enfield Himalayan is one of the toughest competitor bike in its segment.
