Ford launches Endeavour Hurricane limited edition

Ford’s Indian subsidiary,Ford India introduced the latest Limited Edition variant of its popular SUV Endeavour,christened the new 4*4 Hurricane.The new variant of Endeavour features a tough and attractive look and offers the buyers a greater safety and convenience.

Michael Boneham,President and Managing Director of Ford India said that the introduction of the Endeavour 4×4 Hurricane Limited Edition offers value for money coupled with distinct class and safety features for their customers during this festive season.This special variant offers aggressiveness,adventure and agility with features that improves safety,adds style and class.

Boneham added that they are encouraging the outgoing,adventurous customer to take the new Hurricane where no one has gone before and come back impressed with its off-roading,safety features and overall performance.He informed that this is an extremely capable machine winning acclaim for its wonderful dependability.

The car is equipped with a new muscular Front Nudge bar,specially designed Chrome exhaust trims,5th -Door convex mirror and the contemporary Hurricane body decals.The front nudge bar offers muscular and tough look to the car.The 4*4 variant of Endeavour is powered by the 3.0-litre Duratorq TDCi common-rail powertrain engine which delivers 156PS of power output and 380Nm of torque at 2500rpm.The Endeavour 4×4 Hurricane Limited Edition will be available at an attractive price of Rs. 20,13,244 (Ex-showroom Delhi).

Chevrolet to launch Beat facelift in India

We can soon expect the new Beat facelift in India.General Motors has unveiled the facelifted version of Chevrolet Beat in USA at the company’s centennial anniversary celebrations at Detroit.The car will be powered by Chevrolet’s new Ecotec engine.The new Beat gets updated exterior looks and improved interior quality.The second-generation Beat holds many new upgraded features and mild updates in its interiors also.

Hero Impulse price list

Hero today launched the much awaited impulse dirt/ off-road bike. Hero claims impulse as the india’s first dual purpose motorbike – for normal commuting and off-road adventure. “The Impulse is the first bike from us which will be sold only under the Hero brand. We have already started dispatches and it will soon be available at showrooms in metros and Tier-I cities,” Hero MotoCorp Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said. Impulse is the first bike to be sold by Hero without the Honda brand post the divorce.

Hero Impulse is priced Rs66,800 compared to impulse CBZ xtreme is Rs500 cheaper and cost around Rs65,215

Premier Ltd. rolls out RiO Petrol engine vehicles

Premier Ltd. (formerly known as Premier Automobiles Ltd.), re-entered the Indian passenger vehicle market with a compact diesel SUV named ‘RiO’. Recently, the Company introduced a petrol engine version of this compact SUV across major metros and select Tier II cities in a phase – wise manner. The RiO caters to a niche segment between mid-sized passenger cars and larger utility vehicles.

The RiO petrol version is powered by a 1173cc engine, delivering 77BHP and offers 15 kms/litre, while the diesel version is powered by a 1489cc turbo diesel engine based on Peugeot technology delivering 65BHP of power, offering 16 kms/litre of fuel efficiency. Based on a Daihatsu model, this vehicle is sourced from the Zotye Group (China), which sells close to 1,00,000 units of this model per annum worldwide, from its state-of-the-art plant near Shanghai.

Premier assembles the RiO at its Pune plant, based in Chinchwad, and has been selling it through its dealer network in a phased rollout. Currently, the company has 50 dealers and eyes a network of 100 dealers in the next 12 months, thereby creating a pan-India network. The carmaker is revving up its sales and service support, in addition to the three-year warranty being offered for the RiO. According to a company spokesperson, “Our spare parts’ pricing will not be a profit centre, but rather provide customer service and delight.”

The RiO is available in four versions, accommodates 5 people, with the base model price starting from Rs 4.7 lakhs and the top-end model at Rs 6.3 lakhs, (ex-showroom prices, Pune), making it nearly Rs.1.5 lacs cheaper than any other SUV on the Indian roads. The RiO is available in four colours i.e. red, white, silver and black. All models are equipped with power steering, front power windows, electrically operated door mirrors, roof-rails central locking and CD/MP3 players. The higher models have additional features such as anti-lock breaking system (ABS), keyless entry and alloy wheels. RiO is also equipped with foldable split rear seats, thereby providing multiple seating configurations and its unique feature is high ground clearance enabling it to operate on all types of roads.

Ford’s DSFL Session for Vicky.in members

Ford has partnered with Vicky.in to promote safe driving habits through their certified program called Driving Skills for Life (DSFL). The program was introduced in 2003 in the US, primarily as a training tool for teenagers. Since then, Ford has adapted the programme for various countries. DSFL is especially relevant in countries that have many first time drivers, like India. Ford India began DSFL in India about two years ago, and since then has trained more than 2,000 participants so far, including the Delhi Traffic Police, Chennai Traffic Police, Rotary Clubs and MCRT, College students, fleet owners and dealers.

Indian roads are one of the most unsafe roads because of the driving conditions, road conditions and lack of awareness of good driving practices. DFSL is a social initiative which involves focused workshops to polish the driving skills of the drivers who already have a valid driving license or driving permit. Mahindra launches Verito Executive

M&M,one of the leading auto maker in India has launched the limited edition of its Verito saloon.The car has been named as the Verito executive.It is available in both petrol and diesel engine options.The two available colours are Pearl White and Walnut Brown.

The company’s Senior Vice President – Marketing & Automotive Sector,Mr.Vivek Nayer quoted that the launch of the Verito Executive Edition will add a more premium status quotient to the saloon.Together with the propositions of space and mileage,which Verito is already known for,this new edition will provide premium interior and exterior features to their customers.

Verito’s limited edition features alloy wheels,body decals,leather seat covers and leather-wrapped steering wheel,matching door inserts, integrated Bluetooth and USB connectivity.In addition,it holds all the features of the Verito D6 including driver airbag,ABS with EBD, variometric AC,body side cladding,ski racks,rear spoiler and chrome applique.

The 1.5-litre diesel variant produces 65bhp power and is priced Rs.6.94 lakhs for the BS III variant and Rs.7.09 lakh for BS IV.Similarly,the 1.6-litre petrol variant produces 85bhp power and is priced Rs.5.95 lakhs for the BS III variant and Rs.5.99 lakhs for BS IV variant.

Skoda readies Rapid for India

Skoda’s Indian subsidiary,Skoda Auto India has started the production of its entry level sedan,the Rapid at its manufacturing plant in Chakan near Pune.The Pune plant is a key element in SKODA Auto’s India strategy.

Prof.Dr.Winfried Vahland,Chairman of the Board of Management,SKODA Auto commented on last friday that today is the official Start of Production for the Indian variant of their new Rapid compact saloon. Effective immediately,the first unit of the SKODA Rapid will be rolling off the line in this plant.The car will be introduced in the market shortly.It is an attractive car with lots of space and room for five persons.

Winfried further said to the employees that SKODA Rapid is a true reflection of their motto ‘Simply Clever’ with your work ladies and gentlemen, you will contribute to the new ŠKODA becoming a success in India. In this context, local sourcing and local production are essential. Our aim is to make cars of the highest quality. Your competence and know-how are what will make this happen.
