The breezer featuring in our today’s reveiw is the least expensive and ideal for commuters.
Let’s start with the safety. Cramster breezer comes with CE approved armour for shoulders, elbow and back. (CE refers to the european certification standard to which the cramster armor has to adhere). Thankfully these are easily removable and hence washing the breezer is made simple. The outer shell of this cramster breezer is made up of cordura (Cordura was the registered name of a certified (nylon) fabric from DuPont). The cordura is increasingly getting popular as an alternative to leather jackets. Condura is light,washable and cheaper when compared to leather but its ability to protect the rider is still a matter of debate. The inner shell of the cramster’s breezer is a perforated breathing liner.
The jacket is very well constructed and has style to it. Apart from the safety this cramster breezer also make a style statement. Though this cramster breezer feels heavy-ish in your hand it feels light once worn. The venting works fine but the air doesn’t really get down into the jacket espescially when you are off the bike, so you’ll sweat a bit. But this breezer is waist,cuff and sleeve adjustable which means you can loosen and let the air in. The breezer is heavily pocketed (cramster has provided as many as five pockets for this breezer) but none of these are deep. Zippers are sturdy, smooth, no fuss. A quarter circle zip is provided at the rear to make it suitable for race days when combined with velocity (cramster’s trouser). Cramster also offers external raincoat with this jacket.
Buying a riding gear is easier said than done. Since the outlets are limited you have to order these gears can be ordered only through online. Some websites do offer great deals but the real problem lies in the size. You never know which one will fit you. Also the euro and american size standards might confuse you. Sufficient knowledge on your requirement is must. Cramster breezer size is offered in three choices M/40,L/41 and XL/42.
