Bajaj today launched a kick start variant of XCD. The kick start variant of XCD is cheaper cheaper by Rs 2,000 from the original electric start variant of XCD. The XCD kick start is priced Rs39000.
“We have introduced a new kick start variant of XCD. The self-start variant priced at Rs 41,000 still continues to remain in the market,” Bajaj Auto GM Marketing Amit Nandi told. Bajaj sold 50000 units of XCD within two months of its launch. But as the festive season comes to an end the sales have rationalised. Media reports says that Bajaj has only sold 20000 units of XCD in January which is no where near 75000 units as Bajaj expected. Bajaj hopes that this new variant with an attractive price tag will bring more customers to the showroom.
