Tata Motors plans to jack-up the craze for Nano with the launch of new variants. Nano once a big buzz word in the automotive industry lost its glamor because of unending delay in deliveries and firing incidents. With the new Sanand plant, deliveries won’t be a problem hereafter. Tata motors has announced the spot booking of Nano recently and has already initiated a marketing campaign to lure customers. To lure more customers, Nano may get new variants including an upmarket variant called Nano Plus and Nano diesel.
Nano Plus will get a higher displacement engine and extra features. Nano Plus will be on the lines of Nano europa and will take on the Maruti Alto and Chevrolet Spark. Tata Nano+ is likely to get an 1L engine producing more power. Tata Nano plus will also get ABS, alloy wheels and integrated music system. Tata Nano plus will hit the market in 2011.
