Tata plans Nano Electric

Tata Motors is believed to be developing an electric version of its ultra low cost car the Nano (1,700 euros or $2,600 or Rs1 lakh car). Tata Motors recently said that it is developing an electric version of Indica. Similar to the Indica electric, the Nano electric would be produced in Norway. The e-nano or Nano electric would be built in cooperation with the Norwegian electric car specialist firm Miljoebil Grenland. Nano electric would be able to meet the world toughest emission norms and will enable Tata to launch the car in US and in Europe.
