Tata Motors has launched its new Safari Storme in two variants viz., 4*2 and 4*4. The price (Ex-showroom, Delhi) of the SUV starts from Rs.9.95 lakhs and goes up to Rs.13.66 lakhs. The Safari Storme is likely to compete with Mahindra Scorpio and Renault Duster.
The engine remains the same (i.e) the 2.2-litre DiCOR engine which churns out a maximum power of 140bhp and is mated to a five-speed G76 manual gearbox. The car holds a lot of mechanical changes which include an improved suspension and a modern ladder-frame chassis which looks similar to Aria. The interiors also get some minor upgrades.
The ex-showroom prices of the variants of Safari Storme are as follows:
i) Safari Storme 4*2 LX – Rs.9.95 lakhs
ii) 4*2 EX – Rs.10.77 lakhs
iii) 4*2 VX – Rs.12.37 lakhs
iv) Safari Storme 4*4 VX – Rs.13.66 lakhs
