Maruti launches new Alto 800

The new Alto 800 of Maruti has been launched at a starting price of Rs.2.44 lakhs to toughly compete with Hyundai Eon. The car is built on the platform of the existing Alto. The same 796cc three-cylinder engine of the Alto which is slightly modified powers the new Alto 800.

The new hatchback features an all-new cabin with an impressive dashboard getting a better plastic quality and several touches of silver. The car is available in petrol and CNG versions. The petrol variant of Alto 800 offers an ARAI mileage of 22.74kmpl.

The base variant of Alto 800 features grey interiors, vinyl seats, dual trip-meter and tubeless tyres. Along with all these features, fabric seats, air-conditioning and a remote fuel-lid opener add beauty to the LX variant.

The top-end LXi variant gets all the above mentioned features along with an optional driver airbag, body-coloured bumpers and door handles, chrome-trim on front grille, full wheel-caps, grey or brown interior shade, silver-trim on inside door handles and speedometer, metallic finish on the steering wheel, remote opening for the hatch and internally adjustable ORVMs.

The prices of the variants of new Alto 800 are as follows:

New Alto 800 Base Petrol – Rs.2.44 lakhs

LX variant – Rs.2.76 lakhs

LXi variant – Rs.2.99 lakhs

Base CNG variant – Rs.3.19 lakhs

LX CNG – Rs.3.37 lakhs

LXi CNG – Rs.3.56 lakhs
