Royal Enfield launches Himalayan bike

The much awaited Royal Enfield’s first tourer Himalayan is finally launched. Himalayan – powered by an all new 411cc engine generates 24.5bhp of maximum power at 6500rpm and 32Nm of max torque between 4000-4800rpm. Himalyan is mated with a 5-speed constant mesh gear box and breathes through carburettor. 300mm disc brake at the front and 240 mm disc at the rear does the duty of controlling this adventure bike. It weighs 180kgs and runs on 90/90 21″ tyre at the front and fatter 120/90 – 17″ tyre at the rear.Fatter 41mm dia forks at the front which travels at 200mm will ensure your hands ache-free even in bad roads and at the rear Himalayn bike features a monoshock suspension. Ground clearance is ample 220mm which helps the himalayan rider to wade through the clogged water easily. A classy LED tail lamp at the rear and a powerful 60/50 W headlamp forms the electrical set-up of Himalayan.
