Apart from its launch details,here we laid before you the cosmetic upgradations , mechanical specifications and variant details of the Mahindra Scorpio.
Regarding the mechanical specifications, there are two options with the engines, one is the 2.5 litre,four cylinder m2DiCr and the other one is the 2.2 litre mHawk engine.S4,S6,S6+,S8 and S10 trims are powered by the 2.2 litre mHawk engine. While the 2.5 litre m2SiCr will power up the base S2 trim.
Regarding S2, it tends to get the following features as standard that includes air-conditioning, steering, power windows, central locking and 15-inch steel wheels. Further it gets the 7 and 9 seater arrangement.
Next comes the S4, it gets all the features of S2 that is entry level variant with 7 and 9 seater arrangement that too comes along with the provision of side facing configuration. Inaddition to this, it gets tilt adjustable steering wheel and bigger 17-inch steel rims. Also, the 4WD option have also been added to it.
When it comes with the S6 trim, it carries over all the features of the lower trims especially the provision of choosing among the 7 seater side facing and 8-seater front facing configurations. Further it includes integrated 2-DIN music system, remote central locking, sliding seats for the middle row, rear wiper and defogger. Body colored doorhandles, wing mirrors, rear spoiler and a roof rack are also being added to it.
The variant S6+ tends to get airbags for the driver and the front passenger along with the features of the varaint S6 trim.
The variant S8 the safety features have been enhanced with the provision of dual airbags and ABS.Regarding seating configurations,in addition to the existing 7 seater front-facing and 8 seater side-facing configurations,7 seater (captain seating) is also being provided.
Only the variant S10 gets the standard LED eyebrows. For entertainment purpose,6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation is being provided as a standard on S10 variant.Further its prominent features include touch-screen infotainment system, rain and light sensors, steering-mounted audio and cruise control switches, reverse parking assist, Micro-Hybrid technology. As like that of the variant S4,4WD is also being provided as one of the options.
On the whole the hexagonal unit and the functional bonnet scoop are new. Even the fender gets the new benzel. The other features include LED tail lamps and 17-inch wheels. The rear end gets new. The interior is built enriched quality with good fit and finish. Riding quality has been improved with the new suspension system
