Many auto pundits were predicting the price of ecosport would go upward of Rs10 lakhs. Ford india has proven them wrong with the mouth watering price of under 8 lakhs even for the ecosport with the ecoboost engine. With the ecosport starts at Rs5.59 lakhs for petrol variant, the diesel lovers (aka ford fans) can right away book their ecosport for just Rs6.69 lakhs.
Ford has delayed the launch of ecosport, to get the pricing right. Source says that, they have to rework on every component to get the best cost effectiveness from its suppliers too.
