Phoenix, the new 125cc commuter bike of TVS Motors had been caught testing and is expected to be launched very shortly. Phoenix features a smart styling with all-black suspension, engine crankcases, standard six-spoke alloy wheels which are a set of racy, aircraft inspired decals.
Phoenix features a button-started, four-stroke, single-cylinder, carburetted and air-cooled engine which delivers a peak power and torque of 10.4bhp and 1.02kgm respectively. The engine is mated to a four-speed, manual gearbox.
The bike uses a single down-tube, tubular steel frame, with a robust box-section swingarm supporting dual rear shock absorbers. The other new features of Phoenix are LED pilot lamps, digital instruments, a petal-type front disc brake, standard engine-kill button, flush-set tail lamp and a hazard warning facility.
