HSCI,the Indian unit of Honda declared that it would implement preventive part replacement of Power Window Switch of its second generation City in 72,115 units.It said this replacement measure was first executed in January 2010 for 8532 units of second generation City.
Honda is executing the part replacement measure globally in order to ensure rigorous quality standards for its products.The replacement measure by Honda will be carried out at free of cost and the owners will be contacted to carry out the exercise smoothly.
By this activity of Honda,the third generation City,Jazz and CR-V which are currently sold in India are not affected and HSCI clarified that all the three mentioned above does not require any part replacement.
