Polaris has got its first commercial order from the Gujarat Government for its model RZR S 800 which is a side-by-side, 2-seater, all-terrain vehicle. The Polaris Ranger RZR S 800 is powered by a twin cylinder, 760cc-fuel injected petrol engine which can develop 53PS of power and the engine is mated to an automatic gearbox. The engine is placed behind the passenger seat.
It includes 12 inch travel shocks back and front with an anti-sway bar at the back, Disc brakes on all four wheels,12 inch aluminium wheels,9 inch wide all terrain tyres.
Mr. Pankaj Dubey, MD, Polaris India said, “ATVs are utilized by police forces across the globe. This is for the first time our ATVs will be used by Police in India. Our vehicles are sturdy, reliable and effective over the toughest of terrains.
