From Two to Three- Yamaha

The most familiar Japanese two-wheeler company Yamaha is entering the automatic scooter business and it means real business. With a whooping 1.2 million scooter market potential in India it is no wonder that Yamaha is riding along the right track. With this, the company would also step up the export segment to attain 140,000 units in 2010, with the current year’s target being 70,000 ( an increase of 30000 units from 2008). Not only that, the number of dealerships would also go up – around 500 within this year from the current 400, penetrating and concentrating the rural sector.

Yamaha has ranges of motorcycles for every segment with the latest 153 cc Limited Edition Fazer and FZ series, 150cc R15, 125cc Gladiator, 106cc G5, Alba and Crux models. All these have proved to be successful across the country and the same spirit is expected of small towns. Yamaha has intensified its “Yes Yamaha” campaign and “Win Win” campaign to promote its ranges to the valued customers, which includes cash rewards upto Rs3001 and trip to Thailand.
