Tata begins export of Nano

Tata has made another strategic move to push up sales of nano by started exporting to other countries. Tata Motors is said to have exported 498 units of Nano in April. According to SIAM monthly sales figures, Tata which exported nano in single digit has first time made a significant leap with 498 units. “We will make an announcement regarding exports of Nano very shortly,” a Tata Motors spokesperson said.

Without identifying a timeline to share the details, the official further said, “For various reasons, we need to send out the cars. If we want to market and sell a car tomorrow, then it cannot be started immediately tomorrow”. In the past, Nano was welcome by Fiat in Latin America, proton in Malaysia, Thailand based automaker and dealers across globe.Tata has expressed its interest to launch the car in europe and united states.

Mitsubishi to sell Pajero Sport in 2012

The most-awaited launch of Pajero Sport is going to happen in January 2012 at the Auto Expo.This launching will be done by Hindustan Motors.The launch was delayed due to the rising Yen.

It sports a 2.5-litre 16-valve intercooled turbocharged diesel engine that churns out a power of 134bhp and 32kgm of torque.It is equipped with Mitsubishi’s rally-proven shift-on-the-fly Super Select 4WD and a high 215mm ground clearance that offers terrific off-road capability.

It is also fitted with airbags, EBD, a collapsible steering column and 2 DIN touch screen and a reverse camera to increase its demand and to make it more attractive.The Pajero Sport is added with an extra row seat which makes it a seven-seater.It is to be priced in the range of Rs.20-23 lakhs.

Premier’s facelifted Rio soon in India

The face-lifted Rio is soon going to cross over the Indian roads with a powerful engine.The new Rio holds an aggressive front along with some advanced features which are as follows:

.Redesigned bumpers

.More flared cladding

.Round fog lamps at the front and back

.New design for its alloy wheels

.‘1.5’ badging on the tailgate

It is expected that it could be powered by a Multijet engine from Fiat.If Premier – Fiat talks fail, Premier may bring the 1.5L used by its chinese partner Zoyte.Premier is primarily looking at upgrading the Rio to BSIV norms. Either one of these two engines will do the task.However the impact on the price tag of Rio remains to be seen.

HM to bring the new compact Ambassador

Hindustan Motors is mulling efforts to change its 60 years old Ambassador as its sales is not good nowadays.And so,its generous boot has been detached to four metres that qualifies it to be a small car in order to make it more favourable.It features the same rounded hump but with a sharp truncated rear part.

It will sport the same existing 1.5 litre diesel engine which pumps out a power of 35.5bhp and a torque of 13.7kgm.It is expected that the Hindustan Motors will update this motor significantly in order to speed up the performance.It could even feature a turbocharger to meet the latest emission standards.

It will make its debut at the end of this year or at the Auto Expo in January 2012.HM can expect to save around Rs 30,000 and this benefit of cost is likely to be passed on to customers.

Honda Brio Sedan to make its debut in 2013

Honda is planning to launch the sedan variant of its Honda Brio.It is expected that the Honda Brio sedan will make its debut in India in the year 2013 in order to compete with the Toyota Etios.It will be featuring the same 1.2 litre 90bhp i-Vtec engine of the Brio Hatchback.

Honda City comes from the same platform of Honda Jazz and its Airwave from the Freed.Likewise Brio Sedan will be coming from the same platform of Brio Hatchback.With this launching plan of Brio Sedan,it seems that Honda is very serious about selling more number of cars in the developing markets like India and Thailand.

The price of the Brio Sedan will not be so expensive as the car buyers are expecting Honda cars at lesser prices with similar quality and more equipment levels as such as the other car makers.Honda has been slowly putting efforts to satisfy the expectation of the car buyers and hence it seems that the Brio Sedan will be offered with an affordable price tag.

Premier set to launch Facelifted Rio

The facelifted Rio is going to cross over the Indian roads very soon.There is a talk that it could be powered by a multijet engine from Fiat.But if it fails,then it will feature the same 1.5L engine used by its chinese partner zoyte.Premier is in a serious plan to bring its new facelifted Rio with BSIV norms.The new Rio features an aggressive front,redesigned bumpers, more flared cladding, round fog lamps at the front and back, new design for its alloy wheels and the ‘ABS’ and ‘1.5’ badging on the tailgate.The price of the new Rio will be as same as its predecessor.

Tata Nano soon to be in Pakistan

Tata Nano also Known as the world’s cheapest car could be soon crossing on the roads of Pakistan as an International Multi Group of Companies based on Pakistan desires to import vehicles from Tata Group of India,including the Nano and CNG buses.

Amjad Rashid,the IMGC Global Chairman informed that they already have a letter of intent with the Tata Group as they were interested in their CNG buses. At a later stage, if restrictions in the trade policies of both India and Pakistan are removed, they are interested in bringing the Nano to Pakistan.

However, the plan of importing CNG buses from India has been held up due to the restrictions in Pakistan’s trade policy.At present,vehicles are generally assembled necessarily in the Pakistan as per the norms of the country’s trade policy.Also, the Reserve Bank of India’s policies do not allow joint ventures and investments in Pakistan.

Regarding this,Rashid told that they raised these issues with Indian Commerce Secretary Rahul Khullar when he was in Islamabad last month for talks with the Pakistani Commerce Secretary and he promised to get these restrictions removed.He also informed that his group, which has an annual turnover of about USD 200 million, is keen on bringing the Nano into Pakistan.This is their ultimate objective and they already have a letter of intent. Once the bottlenecks are removed, they would import the CNG buses and the next step would be the Nano.

Endless wait for Honda CBR250R customers

The bookings of Honda CBR250R had started by January 2011 and the dealers gave a promise of delivery by April end.But Honda can’t able to hold its promise.

Deliveries of CBR250R are to be started with Pune but it is not known still how long it will make the buyers to wait.

Honda has claimed that it will start delivering the bikes by the end of May or by the month of June this year.

Hero Honda launched the all new Hunk

Hero Honda has launched its new Hunk with advanced features including Contured Visor with Muscle Edge,Ano-Digital Speed Panel,Ridged Muffler Cover with Front and Rear Disc Brakes,Flared Fenders and Tubeless Tyres and Red Hot Led Tail Light.The air cooled,4-stroke single cylinder engine of Hunk generates a power of 14.4PS at 8500rpm and produces a maximum torque of 12.80Nm at 6500rpm.It has an engine displacement of 149.2cc.This cosmetic face-lift is priced around Rs.59,990 in the ex-showroom,Delhi.
